Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
The stats suggest he really should be considered as a full time midfield prospect.
Henry Smith probably the most attractive given he's out of contract 2026 and what the collateral required would be to get himSpeculation Bailey will sign a long term extension at Brisbane...until its signed its not, but that would be a big money deal for them so all the more reason to load shed..who else could we go after from them.
Grand final day my friends wife was there and she’s grew up with his mum and step dad. She said he hasn’t made any decisions for staying on or not yet. His partner is from Brisbane and loves the club. He was coming back to Adelaide to talk to his family in the offseason. Money was huge from all party’s including Brisbane.

We don't really know either way, as we haven't tried to find out.Small sample size tbh
He’s more of a receiver type than a first possession mid
Well if we never try we won’t find out, we know he’s a gun forward, but he could potentially be a real game changer as a mid who pushes forward. What is it that everyone sees in Rachele as a mid? Feel like this is way over hyped and can't see him being anything more than a forward that spends 5 mins occasionally in there. Not sure hes the Gun mid were after, hope I'm wrong though.
I said this 3 years ago. “Peds” will never be the footballer we hoped he would be.Peds has a Gary McIntosh style
About him - just needs to get his body right
I'm willing to say the opposite.I said this 3 years ago. “Peds” will never be the footballer we hoped he would be.
Can only give him the games if there is confidence in his bodyI'm willing to say the opposite.
If he's given the games I think he absolutely will surprise us with the level he can get to.
He can be a game changer.
I thought Pedlar had a great season this one compared to last. He was terrible last season. Hopefully it dawned on him how serious he needs to be to keep an AFL career. This year I thought he was serviceable. He kept himself in ok condition this year, fitter than last by a fair bit, and then hopefully a second good preseason gets him humming nicely for next year. Can only give him the games if there is confidence in his body
Or he breaks down again with the extra speed and high tempo
This was one player I was hoping Burgo would have an impact on - Peds is tough, powerful and strong overhead
Needs his body to get through a season
Try reading my post again. He won't stay at Brisbane because they can't fit him in. We're holding the cards. Just chill out and let them sweat. We'll get him at our priceGeez, you’d have to be an idiot to think it has anything to do with AhChee staying. That’s not happening. Try again.
No where near the level of skill or ball winning abilityPeds has a Gary McIntosh style
About him - just needs to get his body right
There's not a snowflake's chance in hell any of those players are coming anywhere near the AFC.The midfielder we actually need (no its not the big bodied mid any longer because Curtin will be that).
These are the only players (contracted or not, injured or not, gettable or not) that fit the parameters of: age, speed, ability to read ball off tap when on the move to extract rather than head in a hole, kicking efficiency

Well this is my point.... theres no point trading for just more shit and i think reid believes this too. going to have to keep drafting and hope eventually hit gold. There's not a snowflake's chance in hell any of those players are coming anywhere near the AFC.
We've never been able to trade for a genuine A Grade elite midfielder, that isn't South Australian, in the 30 plus years of our existence. And that won't change in the near future, or ever.
The SA players on this list are NOT coming back, or moving from Alberton to West Lakes.
There seems to be a disconnect between drafting LM and coachingWell this is my point.... theres no point trading for just more shit and i think reid believes this too. going to have to keep drafting and hope eventually hit gold.
Agreed. It's the only way. The Golden generation of midfielders - Roo, Goodwin, Edwards, Kane Johnson...all drafted. And recently, Danger, Sloane, Crouchx2 ... all drafted. Traded Thompson and Dawson back home. McLeod was a bit of a special case with the Groom trade. Nobody else immediately comes to mind.Well this is my point.... theres no point trading for just more shit and i think reid believes this too. going to have to keep drafting and hope eventually hit gold.
Ablett?Re Rachele in the midfield:
Gary Albert Jnr started as a small forward / forward pocket. He started playing small stints in the midfield around 22 years old and full time from 23 years old.
Josh Rachele is 22.
Similar height and weight.
I’m not saying Rachele will be good as one of the greatest players ever to play the game but the idea that we can’t even try him in the midfield is crazy. Guy is the second most skilled player after Rankine on the team, has high footy IQ, and is who you want getting the ball.
He had a horrid year with injuries but people forget how good he was early this year. Was AA form before the North injury. Even coming in for a half after missing months of footy was one of our best looking forwards against Hawks. He’s probably been set back a year with those injuries but absolutely should play a few midfield minutes and you never know.
He won’t be that inside player we need I’ll give you that, though…
Yes obviously not AlbertAblett?

Agree .....that's the PORT wayWell this is my point.... theres no point trading for just more shit and i think reid believes this too. going to have to keep drafting and hope eventually hit gold.
It's all theatre this far out from the deadline .....BRIS are fishingi get the feeling brisbane got narky on ah chee when we threw an offer at bailey.... as we should. now they having to try to satisfy bailey now which they didnt want to do as he currently on minimum chips
