He most likely will get to us via the PSD but Brisbane clearly value the small potential he doesn't over a second round pick they don't need. That's why the trade wasn't done.

Gold Coast give up Picks 7, 8 and 2026 1st for Petracca.

Cos they know they've got Academy players up the whazoo.

Similarly, we'll get Ah Chee for nothing because Brisbane are in the same position as Sydney and Gold Coast.

It's nice we're on the benefiting end, but it's shit overall it creates this imbalance in valuing of picks.

I get that they don’t really care, however when every AFL reporter is turning on them it really isn’t good PR. To screw over a guy that helped you win two flags just to puff out your chest…

There are a few clubs this year that haven’t helped their reputations, which could easily affect their ability to attract players in the future.
