I'll be honest here.
I feel sorry Quanor.
I feel sorry for our player's.
I feel sorry for our coaching staff.
I feel sorry for our supporters (including myself)
I DO NOT FEEL SORRY FOR RANKINE.
He shouldn't have done it.
I love watching him play and I'm grateful he's in our team but he's let himself and the club and all the supporters down on this one. 😭

We'd obviously have him back in as soon as possible if it's not the rest of the season, but it'd be an absolute media circus in the lead up to whatever game he returns for.
Yes it will be but most of the media has left Tex alone now after his indiscretion and they eventually will with Izac too.

Is there any indication that this is what was going on?
No. But I just don't see why this has dragged on, unless it isn't clear cut.

I know others are saying that it wouldn't have an impact on the outcome, however, I think it would.

People will claim that they're not racist and were booing him because they didn't like him or because he called out racism from a child. This is the response I've heard from plenty of footy fans. At the end of the day, it is racism and people are just in denial that they actually have deep-seated racism in them.
Not sure it was everyone, I was booing him because I thought he was a flog on the field. I cant even remember the particular reasons that set it off, I think he was flopping for frees a lot because he was starting to slow down, wasnt a very important reason anyway. Nothing to do with racism - my favourite player of all time is indigenous. I booed Nick Daicos for the same reason Saturday.
However what happened was that some people definitely were doing it for racist reasons and/or because they knew he was taking it that way, and you couldnt tell the difference. So I and everyone else absolutely had to stop it at that time.
You might think that I have deep-seated racism in me because I booed him, I dont think that's the case, maybe we'll never agree. Where we probably can agree is, because he thought it was, it had to stop.

Some people will never forgive or forget what Walker did. But most sane-minded people recognise that he made a shitty mistake, copped his whack, educated himself to ensure it didn't happen again, and took active steps to earn trust back again over the course of years.

None. It would make no difference anyway.

He's gone for 3-5 matches. Next man up, can't think about it too much.
Pretty much this. If he's available any games this year, it's an unexpected bonus.

Obviously this is all his fault, but you've gotta feel for him as well. May never play in a final in his career, there's no guarantee we'll make them in other years, or that he'll be fit etc. Plus he's let down his mates. Hope he can learn from this and come back stronger.

If there's a penalty, it won't be less than 4 matches.

I can't see it being less than 5 personally. They've hit that point already with other players, they won't reduce it. The best we can hope is they don't increase it.

It's probably dragging on because we're arguing to reduce it. Because it's 4 or 5 weeks.

Good post.

Seems pretty obvious to me that NWM wants to go to Port after or maybe during the 2 years he’s committed to StKilda. If he was really committing to the Saints it would be a much longer contract. He doesn’t think Port can get the deal done this year that will enable him to leave without completely screwing the Saints. He has some class. Port will probably have a top 5-6 pick next year, and/or Butters might leave opening up trade value. One way or another he will be with his mates at Port within 2 years.

He was never coming to us. Nothing to do with Walker, just never had anything attracting or attaching him to us.
