Had a close look, it's not him saying it and it's not his accent either
If you look at the footage, the journo's questions are in yellow (sub-titles) and Petracca's answer's are in white

The 1 thing the MFC is doing well, is not showcasing how much they need to get one of these big salaries off their books. And how much they still need to refresh their list with younger talent.

In a perfect world they keep Trac and trade Oliver, but their cap is the a long way from a perfect world, and Oliver is closer to a liability in trade value then a asset.

Who-ever Trac chooses isn't going to be bent over a barrel as much as the Demons fans/commentators are hoping.

I tried to look at their board regarding it. Most of the trades they suggest involve contracted, young crows stars that havent showed any sign of wanting to leave...and involve our first and future first pick. You know, the price you might pay for say a top-5 player in the comp that is under 25. The playstation wouldn't even allow most of the trade suggestions I've seen there.

Devils advocate here, but Rach could be getting offered $1.2m per year compared to $700k he’s signed with us. That wouldn’t guarantee him asking to leave, but it would guarantee a request to review the contract. And most likely we can bump him up enough to keep him happy, but every now and again, someone will shake loose unexpectedly. But it’s also very, very rare for a gun player to be part of a deal for another gun player.

Infrequent, but generally around the mark when it comes to Suns.
Makes sense given their need to try keep King and Walter next year, both are clearly going to attract monster deals from Vic. Rioli didn’t come in on chump change either. Rowell only signed on for 2 years as well and Vic clubs will come hard again next off season.

Totally agree Hinge’s form in the second half of the season was really poor and going from an asset to a liability with his disposal and decision making.

Which isn’t a problem except where selection philosophy refuses to consider bringing in an inexperienced player to see if they can do better. Plus he’s our only ‘rebounding type’ and they wouldn’t want to lose that aspect.

Official trade request after spending the day and night in Adelaide..... ironic timing
Make it happen !
Season 9 Ross GIF by Friends

Morris gets his info from someone at Melbourne, that’s why Bevo went off at him last year at a presser. Maybe he has a contact in Petracca’s circle as well, who knows.

Clubs don’t hold any power here anyway, players always get their way. Other clubs could offer the Bulldogs better deals for Bailey Smith last year, but that didn’t matter.

Smith was uncontracted, massive difference.
