Aparently the AFL has been investigating a spitting complaint about David Hille. Came from a member of the public and has been kept quiet all week. Found he did spit but no evidence that it was at anyone or near anyone!

MEDIA RELEASE FROM THE AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

AFL Football Operations Manager Adrian Anderson today announced the AFL had completed an investigation into a spitting complaint lodged against Essendon's David Hille, arising from last Sunday's round 13 match against Carlton at the MCG.

Mr Anderson said the Essendon Football Club had informed him of a complaint from a member of the public who attended Sunday's game concerning an incident during the fourth quarter of the match.

Mr Anderson said AFL Investigations Officer Graeme McDonald found that David Hille did spit while in the vicinity of the complainant but that the evidence does not support the allegation that he directly spat at or on anyone.

Mr McDonald reviewed all available video evidence from the match, interviewed members of both Carlton and Essendon's support staff who were in the vicinity at the time, interviewed David Hille, interviewed the complainant and also interviewed other members of the public who were sitting with the person who made the complaint to the Essendon Football Club.
