Sportingbet are again offering a bet at race 1 at Randwick, if your bet loses an equal bet will be placed on Black Caviar in race 5

Confirmed by laam, you get your stake back on BC if she does win, rather than just the winnings as per their standard free bets.

I've not had a look at the field too closely, but will do so tonight. Anyone think they've spotted the winner?

The offer is pretty decent. A 4 length+ win by BC will net you 1.50 (going by the assumption his tote price finishes 1.25 or less).

I don't like betting on first starters, but it does seem a little fishy when Hot Snitzel is 2nd favourite to its stablemate. So its looking like my hopes will rest on BC to win my money.

Very difficult with debutants in the race though, I'd never back this race under normal conditions.
