I think the game against SA proved that SL's middle order is a concern. Without Sangakarra and Jayasuriya they struggle to put up a competitive total.

I think they need to get Sangakarra back up to 3 and perhaps promote Silva to 4 and drop Jayawardene to 5. Maharoof needs to be our hitter.

Our bowling is the best in the world cup i reckon. We got a classy seamer who puts the ball i nthe right spot, we got the best spinner and a lively fast guy as well.

I think you have the best variety in your attack and Slinger is a bit of a shock weapon; great reverse swing at the end. He can be wasteful with the new ball though but Vaas is still handy in the opening overs. Murali will be challenging on the slow decks like last night's.

What do you think though SL cat about my comment in the match thread that your batsmen struggle against pace bowling?

Also wonder if you have big hitters who can capitalize on any early start. Sanath is a bit hit and miss up the top of the order but also is still dangerous.

I agreee Romeo SL do struggle against quality fast bowling, but wat is of greater concern is that they sometimes truggle against quality spin as well. They should be dealing with it better than they really do.

The lack of a hitter is ar eal concern too, hiopefully maharoof can sort taht out

Given though that Murali is the best spinner in the tournament and there aren't too many other quality spinners from the other nations I doubt this will be one of the thorns in your quest for WC success.

The ones you name consist of a chucker, and 2 overrated medium pace bowlers, whilst the rest of their bowling attack is pathetic.

No hope!

The worrying thing from the SA match for them is that the conditions certainly favoured them. While Slinger finished off incredibly he got some tap from the likes of muppet early.

They are a huge chance.

Their batting is the key as it can be hit and miss... they have one of the best attacks at the WC.

Go the Slinga... :thumbsu:

With WI gone the only one's who'll stop them are Australia (and maybe NZ on their day)

Aus V SL final. Lock it in.

Well Aus, SAF, NZ are into the semis you'd say.

WI and SL for the final spot.

WI may have blown their chance by losing to NZ last night, but the SL/WI game on Sunday night is huge now. If SL win that then they'll go through but the WI need to win to stay alive i reckon. Even if SL lose that to the WI they have a chance to make up for it in the SL/NZ match.

England can go home.
