Shut up noob, if it's monetary matters you want to discuss, how bout your MILLIONS over the Salary Cap?

Slight difference.

St Kilda ripped off it's own players and it's only premiership coach.

Carlton overpaid (albeit illegally) it's players in an effort to look after them financially.

Throw in there as well St Kilda's non-payment of player transfer fees in the 1980's to other VFL clubs who provided them with players.

the eagles certainly did something about it - lost gardi, lost cousins and lost judd.
that's um something at least

Yeah I am so shattered we got rid of Gardiner and won a premiership in 2006... after he cost us the 2005 premiership :o and even more enjoyable he helped cost St Failure the 2009 premiership :D Gardy sure is the man for the big occasion isn't he :D :D

As for Duddles... well he wanted more money and a job on the board of Visy... always been about $$$$ to him... and of course his whore of a girlfriend was more interested in media opportunities in Melbourne. Can you blame them?

And for Duddles knifing us... we got Josh Kennedy, Chris Masten and Tony Notte..... our CHF, Midfielder and FF for the next 10 years.... whilst Duddles goes forward because he can no longer run. Yeah I am crying over that spilt milk :D :D :D

Do you realise that the Hawks last 5 decades individually have all been as successful as St Kilda's entire history.

Sorry mate... I am all for having a go at St Failure... but at least do it with some accuracy. It's not 5 decades.... The Hawks have actually had as much success in the last 14 months as St Failure has in their entire 100+ year history. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I flag in 100 years and dudded thier premiership coach and half the premierships players, yep that's the Aint's culture for you.

Not to mention the way they treated Stan Alves 12 months after he got them into a Grand Final. Never mind... they got Grant Thomas to sack everyone in the place.... make himself the Senior coach even though he had barely coached an U10s side.... and basically turn St Failure into a dictatorship :D :D Such a wonderful history of coaches at St Blunda.... with Timmy Watson and Malcolm Blight being in such shock at the culture of the place they had to leave :D

I'll type slowly so you can understand.

They dudded them by not paying them until they

eventually got only about 22 cents in the dollar

years later.

LOL Carlton sucks bring up stuff from the 1980's.

What's worse... struggling financially due to a huge debt thanks to a loan to pay off a grandstand (sound familar Brown baggers?) or paying off rape victims with dirty, tainted drug money (provided by 'colourful' racing identities that were regulars in the Carlton Social Club). The Carlton of the mid 2000's was very close to being in a similar boat to the St Kilda of the early 80's until a corrupt businessman opened his pockets and flooded the club with money that he had stolen off the Australian public.

It's hysterical reading half wits bag other clubs (like Geelong supporters calling rape) when they don't know the skeletons in their's club's closet.

The funniest thing is Carlton supporters talking about culture when one of the clubs most successful eras on field was a culture of drug taking, sexual assault, associating with criminals and, eventually, salary cap cheating.

The thing is, while we hated Carlton, we respected how good their teams were. Now every player from that era is a possible criminal and the club responsible for covering up rapes and other despicable activities.

Oh the irony in someone calling themself "NeilElvis" getting on their high horse about abuse of women!

Overpaid them and destroyed the fairness of the League.

Firstly, i'll let you in on a little secret - every club in the AFL breaches the salary cap in one way or another. It is impossible to police. Clearly you have never had any close involvement with an AFL club or you would have known this already.

Secondly, the "fairness" of the competition was destroyed deliberately by the VFL/AFL by the implementation of the draft and salary cap. The whole point was to make the league distinctly unfair (ie: reward mediocrity / penalise success).

Does that include the one who has been your defensive coach for the past few years ?
You know, the one that has built a competitive defence for you and turned Zac Dawson into a competent AFL defender.

If said skeleton is a rapist, then I certainly haven't heard of it. Care to enlighten us?

St.Kilda have a history of sacking a coach as soon as the team slips down the ladder, regardless of whether they make the finals or not in the coach's last season at the helm. Just look at this record:

Ken Sheldon
1990 - finished 9th
1991 - finished 5th
1992 - finished 4th
1993 - finished 12th....SACKED

Stan Alves
1995 - finished 14th
1996 - finished 10th
1997 - finished 2nd
1998 - finished 6th....SACKED

Tim Watson
1999 - finished 10th
2000 - finished 16th....SACKED

Grant Thomas
2001 - finished 15th
2002 - finished 15th
2003 - finished 11th
2004 - finished 3rd
2005 - finished 3rd
2006 - finished 8th....SACKED

Ross Lyon
2007 - finished 9th
2008 - finished 4th
2009 - finished 2nd

Guess it's premiers or bust for Ross next season.

That's why they have so many spoons. Can't be sacked for dropping spots on the ladder if you're dead last.

26 seasons the coach was safe 4 the next year. LMFAO!

I wish I knew how to quit you...

There has been nothing fair about the AFL since the draft and salary cap was instituted to try and give clubs who were abject failures in thier own right (like your club for instance) a leg up at the expense of the well managed clubs.
Yet despite all of this and your club inventing tanking ("bottoming out") still only 1 flag in over 100 years.
No doubt the AFL will continue to fiddle with the rules in an effort to get your club up but, true to form your club will find a way to blow it anyway.
