That was like shitty little missions like the normal MP though wasn't it?

Yeah just with weird objectives other than control the bases and kill everyone. And you could only play as Clone Troopers into Storm Troopers.

One thing i'm a huge fan of from the beta is how they've done sniping, has that nice arcade like feel.

But I like no customisation in weapons, KISS principle. There's COD and Battlefield if that's your thing.

One thing i'm a huge fan of from the beta is how they've done sniping, has that nice arcade like feel.

I don't know if a sniper rifle will be in the full game, but id hardly call that rifle sniping.

Its a really weird decision. While yeah its nice to skip some of the abuse out there (I don't seem to have that much of an issue with it) cutting out chat makes team work very difficult.

This is really dropping down from a must buy for me

I guess on ps4 you can still have a party link with mates while playing. But i didnt see anyway you can actually choose to play with your friends

You need to set up an in game party, then also an out of game party to use chat.

Is a real **** around in rigmarole.

Id say because you can make teams in destiny. I didnt see where we cpuld do that in battlefront.

i'm not sure how it's done from the lobby but in a match you could select from the options menu and send an invite. i got invited to a fire team after collecting the most objectives and second most kills in a match by the guy with the most kills. within 2 rounds we had a fire team of 8 and and didn't lose a single match for the rest of the night.

There is only a standard edition being released. I'm pretty sure the special edition you are talking about is only for EB games. A pack which they put together themselves. A crappy one at that!

There is single player, just no campaign. Don't think they brought back Galactic Conquest either.

confirmed game modes:

Multiplayer modes:
fighter squadron: like it sounds straight out aerial battle.
supremacy: its Dices bread and butter, giant maps, capture points, hold them, kill filthy terrorists , 2 teams with up to 20 guys on each side
Cargo: capture the flag loot
Droid run: squad based zone defence, capture the points, defend them
Walker assault: no this isn't just the hoth battle it's basically Rush with objectives that move and kill shit and god i hope it doesn't get rebalanced winning as a rebel is epic.
Blast: team death match by any other name
Drop zone: basically a dynamic squad based zone defence, which in theory should stop camping
campaigner mode: play as campaigners from the movie and fanboy the **** out. then bitch on reddit about how much non jedi characters need nerfs
hero hunt: **** what 16 yr olds think, splinter cell made this mode what it is today. one op'd MOFO up against a handful red coats.
Survival: its horde mode with you and a mate against waves of enemies.
battles: i don't really understand this shit, you and another player take on bots in separate instances then brag about who killed the most bots the quickest.

single player modes:
Survival: internet out for the day? or just tired of getting wrecked and noones online to carry you? play horde mode by yourself.
Training: this is so you can learn all the controls of various vehicles in the game, so you don't look like a dick and die immediately when you grab a vehicle.
you'll still die immediately but for those 13.6 seconds you're not dead, you will be almost as smooth as billy dee williams.
Battles: for the meme in all of us, buy a MP game...........play against bots.
campaigner mode: same as MP campaigner mode but off line so you can actually feel like darth vader instead of constantly dying to aR5ebla5tA552 with his cheap ****ing spawn kills ****! ****ing lag, **** this shit!.
