Have three Smiths ever played in the same side? Have four or more ever played in the same match?
No and no. Two in one team, three in a match are the highest.

Neale Daniher played games in 1979, 1980, 1981, 1985, 1989 and 1990.
Is he the only player to have two 3-year gaps in his playing career?

Which teams have been 0-5 or worse against an opponent since their inception into the VFL/AFL?
St.Kilda lost their first 48 games from 1897-1900. That was a pretty bad run against every team.Gold Coast are 0-5 against Adelaide and 0-4 against Geelong and Hawthorn.
GWS are 0-4 against Sydney and 0-3 against Adelaide, Essendon and North Melbourne.

Matthew Scarlett's first 2 games were both against Essendon. Say in the last 30 years, which players have played against the same team in their first 2 or more games? (If the list is very long, don't worry about it.)
Which players debuted against the side they followed as a youngun?

Think Scarlett played in Round 5 v Carlton in his second game
Tim Watson (Richmond) comes to mind.
So that explains the 20 goal thumping!Remembered another one.
Kristian Jaksch (Richmond fan, debuted against them in the Giants' 121 point loss.)
In some instances, Final Siren gets the matches mixed up between the same opponents in the same season, e.g. Ge v Ca R5 & R20 1999.
Which prompts me to ask another question. Jim Neylan's first 4 games were at different grounds. Can many players better that for different grounds since debut?
Haha, that's my fault. Way, way back when I merged the separate (at that time) scores and players stats, there was the problem identifying which stats went with which game. Naive in hindsight, but I just compared goals kicked by players with goals kicked by team score. When two games in the same year had the same goal tally, the process randomly did or didn't assign the wrong stats to the wrong game.
What makes Jack's first three games special is that they were consecutive rounds, Rounds 3, 4 and 5 in 1926!Here's one that might interest you. Leo Monaghan and Jack O'Sullivan played under four different coaches in their first four games. Monaghan played under a fifth coach in game #6.
Just manually searching ...
Allen Jakovich - 0, 1, 3 then 8 (behinds went 0, 2, 5 then 8)
Fred Fanning - 0, 1 then 2 (in his last 5 games he went 0, 3, 5, 10 then 18)
Peter McKenna - 0, 3 then 5
Mark Jackson - 4, 6 then 8
Going the other way, Keith Warburton started with 7, then kicked 3 then 1 then 0.
Many instances of a team having 3 or more coaches in the same season?
