I was rather amused by St Kilda defeating Gold Coast by four points the other week after beating them by one point in round one. A total of five points over two games, this would have to come very close to being if not the lowest combined winning martin by one side over another over two games in one season.

Does anybody know the lowest combined winning margin over two games of one side beating another in one season?

Does anyone know where I can find Hit Out to Advantage stats for each game on line and they are like the stats on AFL tables, and up to date, or just a day or two behind at the end of the round?

I know the News Corp papers publish the Champion Data tables and they have the info there, but can't always get a copy of the paper for all games and they don't necessarily show all 9 games over the 3 days after they are played.

Fitzroy defeated Hawthorn by one point in both of their games from 1978.

Round 15 saw two games where the scores were 77 to 71 (Essendon vs GWS and Hawthorn vs West Coast). When was the last time one round produced two identical scorelines? How often has this happened over all?

I recall R12 2004 had a 154-80 duopoly (Ess vs Haw and Kang vs Rich.)

Best option is to just snip it and upload as a photo these days unfortunately.

Have since worked out that you can paste straight from Excel.

A couple of queries if any learned footy stats person out there can help me.
(1) 1955 Under-19s Grand Final
I'm seeking the quarter-by-quarter scores of Fitzroy's first Under-19s premiership in 1955.
Online editions of the Age, Argus and Footy Record have the score as Fitzroy 7.12 (54) versus South Melbourne 7.4 (46), but none of the journals provides the scores at the end of the first, second and third quarters.
Interestingly, the AFL Record Season Guide has the scores as 7.14 (56) to 7.4 (46).
Also, if anybody knows the first initial of Fitzroy player McCrorie or South Melbourne players Gazzard and Gleeson, that would be wonderful.
None of the three players made a senior appearance.
(2) 1944 Reserves Grand Final
Fitzroy's only double premiership year, but I'm chasing the first initials of several of Collingwood's seven goalkickers.
The players in question are Carnie, Purcell, Redstone (none made a senior appearance) and Stabb (it could be either Fred or Roy, given both played in the Magpies' league team).
A massive thank you if you can assist with either request.

An R. Carnie played for Collingwood in 1940 (1940 Week 2 finals Record). J. R. Carney went from Hawthorn to Collingwood in mid-1940: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/11318731
An R. J. Carnie had joined Hawthorn in 1939: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/12120276
I suspect he went to Northcote in 1945, but can't find a permit. There was a strong connection between the two clubs, and Fred Stabb went there that year. There's an R. Carnie in a team photo in 1945: http://www.boylesfootballphotos.net.au/Northcote+Team+Photos

The 1944 Week 4 finals Record (page 6) names S. Stabb as one of the goalkickers in the Seconds Grand Final! The match report in the Sporting Globe said the same thing, but obviously got it wrong!: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/188829163

M. J. Redstone went to Collingwood from South Melbourne in May 1944, so almost certainly he was the GF player. This should be Jim Redstone, who played 4 games for South in 1938. He was previously with Carlton Seconds.

J. Purcell was cleared from Collingwood to Camberwell at the start of 1945. It should be him. He had joined the club (from Abbotsford) at the beginning of 1943.

The Age suggests R.Stabb was the goalkicker - see attachment.

It most likely is Terry Gleeson for the South Melbourne player: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/164506366
He gets called Ted here: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/164509284

Edit: A John Gazzard (from Colac) played in a (senior) practice match for South in 1955, so that's probably the U19 player: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/71640181

An E. Gleeson was named on the Supplementary List for South Melbourne in 1956, so I'd say it was Ted (Edward), not Terry: https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/71796555

J. Gazzard was on the To Be Considered list.

If it helps at all, McCrorie wore number 7, Gazzard #8 and Gleeson #11 in the u19's that year. From the 1955 Round 1 & 2 footy records. No initials supplied.
