Have to ask, what's the most consecutive goals scored by a side before registering their first behind? Crows 14.0.84 at half time today against the Hawks.

The only contender to beat this is Essendon in R11 1979 who went from 11.0 at half time to 16.7. Unfortunately Google newspaper archive is missing most issues of The Age for that month including the key one on 19/6.

That period would have entailed a media strike, i think Rd 13 that season where i believe stats like who kicked behinds for various sides that day were not officially recorded. Funnily enough earlier in 1979, Geelong did got from 5.8.38 to 20.8.128 against St.Kilda at Moorabbin in kicking 15 straight goals which was a record to that point. But they had 8 points to start with.

Continuing on the Adelaide theme, with the Crows kicking 10.0 in Q2 but only finishing with 16.3 (99), I wonder how many teams have booted 10-plus goals in a quarter but failed to reach 100 points?
I know Port Adelaide only scored 14.8 (92) after posting 10.0 in Q1 against Brisbane at the Gabba in Round 21, 2009.
I'd hazard a guess that prior to the Crows' effort against Hawthorn on Sunday, the Power was the most recent side to kick a double-figure goal tally in one quarter and still lose.

Can recall the North v Richmond 1989 game. It got very dark and they didn't turn the lights on. Richmond kicked 8 goals of their own in this quarter and extended their lead from 46 to 85 points; most of North's goals were scored in the second half of the quarter. Was #1 pick Richard Lounder's debut; he kicked 4 goals by staying in the goal square.

Just beaten to the punch! I'll put this here anyway!

Good to see you around, FitzroyPete! 6 times (prior to the other day's game) a team has had a 10+ goal quarter but failed to reach 100 points. On 3 of those occasions the team has lost. Port Adelaide in 2009 was the most recent loser of those teams.

What are some of the biggest differentials for a season between win average and loss average.

In 2016 Port Adelaide had 10 wins at an average of 50 points, and 12 losses at an average of 27 points. Were there any teams that had big numbers on both sides. Say 40 point wins and 40 point losses.

The Bulldogs haven't played in a draw since round five 2008. I know this is the longest active streak in the AFL. Can anyone confirm if this current streak by the Bulldogs is a record for them?

No, it's not. They went from Rd. 1 1957 to Rd. 8 1973 without playing a draw.

Interesting in that 1996 with Adelaide being schizophrenic - Hawthorn scraped into the finals with a 98.5% but there were 3 teams outside the top 8 with a % above 100, including Richmond who could only go 11-11 despite racking up a percentage of 117!

No, it's not. They went from Rd. 1 1957 to Rd. 8 1973 without playing a draw.
So 16 years without a draw in a period where the Bulldogs only played finals once (1961), and also in a period where they often played only 18 round in a H&A season. Given the Bulldogs have played finals in seven seasons since playing their last draw (combining for a total of 16 finals matches), and playing 22 H&A matches in this period, I'm guessing it's going to be extremely close if you base this on total games played, rather than seasons between draws.

The Bulldogs haven't played in a draw since round five 2008. I know this is the longest active streak in the AFL. Can anyone confirm if this current streak by the Bulldogs is a record for them?

Bulldogs currently 298*
