Question to R.R, Sydney defeated Geelong by 13 points and won all four quarters. I think from memory you said the lowest winning margin for a side achieving this feat is 7 points. Would Geelong have participated in a game where one side claimed all four quarters yet won by less than 13 points?
This territory is a bit of a 'cat cluster'.

Jamie Cripps kicked 7 goals 2 in his 4 games for St Kilda this year, but being used as either the sub or subbed off in all 4 games, he has a time on ground percentage of only 8% for the entire year (until the end of round 23)
John Butcher has 11 goals 1 from 13% total yearly game time (again, end of round 23)

I make it 24, beginning with R11 2003. Could have an error on a starting time in my database though.
Its actually 24 - but a good selling point for a Saturday night elimination final there if they can maintain 6th place. Last Sat. night loss at Docklands for the Saints was round 9 2003 v Collingwood by 65 points.
Since then they have an average Docklands Saturday night winning margin of 42 points.
If they play the Swans there in the final Saturday night, it will be the 5th Saturday night meeting between the two since the streak began. (St Kilda next most frequent Saturday night visitors during the streak have been Brisbane and Richmond - 3 matches each.)

essendon 15-7 in 1983 was only good enough for fourth too. in a 12 team competition.
Highest match/win percentage for a team finishing 4th
was Essendon in 1966 - 77.78% - 14 wins from 18 matches,
which West Coast can't better with 17 wins from 22 = 77.27%

391 teams have made the finals with match/win percentages of 75% or less.
43 eventual Premiers have made the finals with match/win percentages of 75% or less.
Richmond 1966 would have made the finals in every other season - including 1934, tipping out Collingwood 13.4-1 by percentage 123.2 to 121.9
Maybe the Tigers deserve 1966 to be replayed, but this time with a 'Final 5'?
