Cheers - I think Carlton's score might differ also.

I was wondering if overturned results might account for the win/loss difference.

If you end up changing your g/b totals, could you please also re-post the 1897-2013 table? Thanks again
Some sources have Port kicking 13 goals in round 8 2013 against Carlton instead of 14 - 14 appears to be correct.

Your tables will be up shortly (plus a few others) the only discrepancies with AFL Tables will be Brisbane as one club with one set of records and the 1909 match forfeited to Geelong counted as a Geelong win.
(Unlike other results awarded on protest where the score was altered, the 1909 match was about St Kilda playing a disqualified player so the score stood with St Kilda 1 point ahead, but Geelong with the match points.)

As per Stemline's requests:

1925-2013 (Hawthorn's time in competition.)

1951-2013 (Hawthorn has the highest for and against percentage from matches played in this period.

Craig Bradley did it in all 17 seasons he played, and played at least 19 games in every season. Simon Black and Nathan Buckley next on 14 each. Lenny Hayes is currently on 12 in a row.

Robert Harvey just missed in 2002, else it would've been 20 on the trot.

Don't think there is a website related to preseason scores and stats. I will shamelessly recommend you to the "Night series/preseason stats" thread I created in 2011. It is now back on page one of the Football Statistics forum as I have recently included some new info.

Cheers Worbod.

Another one for Ron The Bear.

Who's kicked the most career goals with the following tallies being the highest they kicked in a year at least 5-6 times each?

RogersResults.

How many triple digit wins has the preseason produced in its existence?
Also, how many games have produced a combined score of 300+?
Once compiled, can you please PM me the quarter by quarter scores?
Cheers mate.

And worbod, love some of your contributions to Footypedia.
I'm a scores and goals nerd.

Haven't seen a thread on there dedicated to country or metro inaccurate scores.

If I understand this correctly...most career goals where player's best performance for a season was x goals in at least five different seasons:

x |Player|Seasons|Career
\0|Fred Hughson|5|95
\1|Ian Nankervis|5|203
\2|Paul Salmon|5|561
\3|Jack Dyer|6|443
\4|Kevin Bartlett|7|778
\5|Simon Madden|5|575
\6|Bernie Quinlan|5|817
\7|Doug Wade|6|1057
\8|Brendan Fevola|5|623
\9|no qualifiers||
(Note to red+black - will look at your new formatting method when I have more time!)

OK - with the season getting back into the swing of things, I'll hopefully start picking up my WAFL Stats thread.

One of the things I want to do is try and figure out who's been the most dominant WAFL team, but I'm trying to think of criteria.

From the attacking side of things, would it simply be a case of finding out what the average score of the league for that season and then finding the biggest difference between that result and the team with the highest scoring percentage? Or would you have to discount the highest scoring team, and just find how far they were above the average of the rest of the league?

How about using stats covering quarters won/consecutive quaters won?

Not like that.

Like, player X has kicked at least 5 goals in a year and not a game.

Use this as an example.

It shows Joel Corey having 10 seasons where he kicked 5 goals each season or more but never double digits.
