Player mass is also more susceptible to change than height I think. Players can gain or lose weight through exercise and dietary changes. It reminds me of actors like Vincent D'Onofrio and Joaquin Phoenix either gaining or losing weight for iconic roles.

Vic Brown (University - 1913) and Bert Sutton (Hawthorn - 1928) both had 0-18 coaching careers, while the record is held by Kevin Murray who was 0-34 as playing coach of Fitzroy in 1963 and 1964 (the incredible part of the story is that Murray missed 1 game in each season while representing Victoria in interstate matches. Presuming you are referring to the team who kicked the high score, the answer is Fabian Francis for Brisbane Bears. In the Bears' round 8, 1993 clash against Sydney, Francis kicked the first 3 goals of his career in his third game; the Bears racking up a score of 219.

According to a YouTube clip which shows all Brisbane's goals in a ten-minute package, Francis' first goal is Brisbane's third goal, so their score wouldn't have been very high at the time.
