Have no idea as that stat has barely been counted in the course of league history. What’s the most contested possessions by a 19 year old?
Yeah... so since the stat was first recorded obviouslyHave no idea as that stat has barely been counted in the course of league history.
Probably have 15 to 20 years worth of stats being counted for it, out of 124 seasons of league history.
What is Robert Walls talking about here? What he says makes no sense whatsoever.
Prior to this, the longest drought of two teams in the same finals series was Melbourne and Richmond, which lasted 77 years from 1941 until both the Tigers and Demons made the finals in 2018.
Anyone got an answer for this? (Since contested possessions were recorded?)What’s the most contested possessions by a 19 year old?
Richmond and Melbourne have an interesting Timeline history. They were both OK in the first half of the 1940s - but managed to miss final series against each other. Melbourne won 3 straight flags from 39-41 - and then missed finals the next 4 years while Richmond made finals each year. The rest of the 40s they managed to miss each other, despite one or the other being in the finals most years. From 1947, Richmond entered one of their rubbish periods and didn't make finals for 20 years- matching the time when Melbourne took on Norm Smith and entered their Golden Era.
Then in 1965, 2 things happened:
A) Richmond home games moved to the the MCG and had their best year since 1947.
B) Melbourne briefly sacked Norm Smith - and had their worst season for 12 years (finishing below Richmond for the first time since 1953)
In '66 Hafey arrived, and Richmond entered their Golden Era - while Melbourne didn't make finals for 23 years. When Melbourne finally made finals again - 1987 - Richmond were way past Hafey, and finished last. From 87 onwards, neither were much good, and managed to miss each other on their infrequent finals appearance.
The reason is pretty clear - only one team based at the MCG can be good in a given year. Now that North, Hawthorn and Collingwood are based there, the pattern goes on. Generally, only one team is any good and really a chance at a flag. 2018 was the final proof - 3 of the 4 teams that played the preliminary finals were based at the MCG - and none of them won the flag.
In round 13, 2005 Shaun Burgoyne played in a 117 point victory for Port Adelaide versus Hawthorn. Then, in round 21, 2011 he played in a 165 point victory for Hawthorn against Port Adelaide. How many two-club players have experienced 100 point victories such as this? (Doing it for team A vs team B, and later for team B vs team A?)

Gws vs Hawthorn Round 5 this year.
Gws recorded 26 i50's for 13 goals and 5 behinds (83).
Best conversion rate per scoring shot I assume?
I meant per inside 50's for scoring shots sorryThere's been five occasions in history where a team has converted 100% of scoring shots, kicking all goals and no behinds. Of these, Hawthorn's 7.0 in Round 12, 1949 is the most goals kicked by a side without scoring a behind.
If you're looking for 2020 specifically, St Kilda's 12.1 in Round 8 (92.3%) is the best we've seen this year, and in fact is the best all time in which a side has kicked at least one behind.
I meant per inside 50's for scoring shots sorry

I was curious as to which players hold the records for playing in the most wins by 100 points or more and most losses by 100 points or more.
Hawthorn would frequently crush inferior opposition by over 100 points during their golden era from the mid 1970s to the early 1990s so it wouldn't surprise me if the player with the most century wins was a Hawk. There were some pretty weak teams during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s that would get belted by three figure margins - 100 point wins were rarer before this and have become rarer since the early 2000s as scoring got lower - although the Gold Coast and GWS frequently found themselves losing by a century or more in their early years, Melbourne and St. Kilda also copping some almighty beatings in the early 2010s. Jeff Hogg had a long career all in bottom four teams for Richmond (1986-1993) and Fitzroy (1994-1996) with the Tigers and Lions often receiving century thrashings in his tenures with these clubs, but I'm not sure if he holds the record or if players from other poor teams (Melbourne early 1980s, St. Kilda mid 1980s, Brisbane Bears late 1980s early 1990s and Sydney Swans early 1990s) beat him.

What's the Bulldogs record in Sunday twilight / night matches (especially recently)?
Matches that begin on a Sunday after 4:30pm is specifically what I'm looking for.
Thanks mate35-12-23
Matthew Nicks has "won" the wooden spoon in his first season as an AFL coach (narrowly edging out Rhyce Shaw in his first full year as North Melbourne coach).
What is the list of coaches who have "won" the wooden spoon in their first ever year?
Also, what is the list of coaches to have "won" the wooden spoon in their first year at their second/third etc club? (I know premiership coaches Ron Barassi - Melbourne 1981, Tony Jewell - St. Kilda 1983, Kevin Sheedy - GWS 2012 and John Worsfold - Essendon 2016 will make this list).
