It has been suggested that Monica is the unlucky exclusion.

Like you, I think Stokes has alot to offer and has proven he can play and play well in the last day off September.

My major worry is Rioli starting to fire and us having no-one to go with him.

Monica, Like Stevie J has X=factor...... All i know is i am glad i am not the one making the decision.

I don't mind it. I can imagine Stokes and Varcoe reeking havoc on the hawk backline. Stokes finds space, runs to the right places - I wouldn't like him missing. He gives us another scoring option.

Monica's run is great but aside from Rioli (who I think Enright will take) do we have another suitable matchup for him?


The more I think it about the more I think its the right move.

The hawks will find it hard to matchup all of our small forwards.

Too many small forwards. Stokes hasn't kicked a bag since the Melbourne ( ) match - Rd 19, 4 goals.

The real issue for this weekend will be penetrating the zone and Wojo carrying the ball and having a few pegs from outside 50 would create havoc

I think the Hawks would be pretty content with Stokes remaining in, and Wojo out.

Wojo was pretty awful in the first quarter of last year's GF, he gave away I think 3 frees in about 5 minutes? I'd like to keep him, but at the same time I'd like to keep Stokes as well because he's a lurker and the Hawks would be conscious of putting someone on him, whereas Wojo isn't as much a ball magnet, and to be honest - for someone who has so much pace and breaks the lines, he really does get caught with the ball a lot. Hawks are a cut above Port, this is not going to be a cakewalk.
