There was a very bold effort at the MCG for the Vics vs QLD Big Bash clash on Sunday night. The guy Robert Harveyd two security guards and ended up running down the home team's race. Rumours floating around that he made it out of the ground unscathed, can anyone confirm?

What are the most memorable efforts you've witnessed?

YouTube fills in the gaps:

This one from 1993, would you believe. Bang! KO'd convincingly.

And amongst the hubbub of a Collingwood premiership, I thought I'd imagined this happening. But this video confirms, someone did jump the fence in celebration:

Love the sidestep from the first one and the security gaurd falling on his backside - hilarous!

Was a fantastic effort but they did get him. Saw him out the back of the members with three security guards.

Easily one of the highlights of the night. :thumbsu:

Idiot behaviour from an idiot person. Why people think they have a right to invade the playing arena is beyond me. It's not funny, it's just plain stupid.

Harmless fun, cricket's become so boring nowadays, it was the only thing that got the crowd excited.

Exactly. When beach balls are seen as deadly weapons and standing up as part of the wave will get you kicked out, it is difficult to have some innocent fun. If anything, streakers just make the security gaurds look ridiculous.

Was up in Sydney on holidays in 1997 and my parents took me to the to the New Years ODI at the SCG between Australia and Pakistan (I was 11). I counted no less than seven pitch invaders that day. Ruined the game.

My post was directed at the one bloke who ran across the ground the other night, it was obviously a bet, he wasn't drunk and had no intention of accosting any players, but some of the scenes in that bay 13 video were criminal.

Best one I ever saw was at the WACA in a Test against NZ. Would have been mid-90's I guess. I was sitting on the wooden bench seats at the western side where the grass is now, so it's a while back.

Anyway, these three guys stripped off and ran straight through the middle of the pitch, before getting off the ground directly opposite, through the gate where the roller comes in. It was hilarious to watch, as there was no security around at all. The guys all got to the other side, where they stopped and looked around like they didn't know what to do next - there was no-one chasing them, so they just sort of stood there for a few seconds, then went off the ground. About twenty minutes later a security guard came down near where we were sitting and picked up all their clothes that were still there on the bench. I presume that since they must have ended up wandering about naked somewhere around the back of the scoreboard they either got picked up by security or gave themselves up.

Not cricket but the idiot who greased himself up and streaked and slid twenty metres at Suncorp during the origin match five years ago was totally hilarious. He slid like he was on a crocodile mile. No f***s given
