There's a Caen, former club of Kante, supporter on the FoxesTalk forum (LCFC forum) who stated he's not a player to leave a Club to chase a bigger contract, i just can't see it happening
So he is the only player in the world that doesnt like money? What's he on at Leicester? 30k? Bigger clubs could quadruple that.

Vardy wont leave as he is too old. It will be an interesting summer for Mahrez and Kante though.

depends how big we're talking i guess.

i fully agree that he won't leave. vardy won't either cos there's no value for other clubs. mahrez i feel is the only one likely, but we're talking like 40 mil at this stage. at least.
Mahrez i can see leaving, i wouldn't begrudge him if he did

He's only being linked with Arsenal, Chelsea & Juventus at this stage. How are any of those a step above to where we are at the moment? Other than being "bigger club's" that's just about where it ends.

You can make a weak argument based on this one season that staying at Leicester is better than moving to Arsenal or Cheslea but how are Juventus not instantly a better option than Leicester?

Last years CL runners up, about to win the Italian league again for the 234234 time in a row and nearly knocked Bayern out of the CL again this year...

I mean I get Leicester fans being all up and about because your team is about to win the league but lets be realistic here....Leicester haven't entered into the top echelon of football clubs and one season is not going to.

Every player will look and think "Where am I going to be in 5 years? What is this club going to achieve in 5 years?".......Leicester's future, as amazing as this season has been, is not anywhere near as attractive as those clubs above.

Serie A is no where near as competitive and better quality than that of the Premier League. I can't see a player who has been with us for just about eight months have everything he's wanted with us just to say "i want a transfer". Won't happen.

We can double/triple his pay i guess. That would be pretty tasty for him.

I know we've had a crappy season but we're also a club that can win stuff regularly. Thats pretty tempting too.

Plus theres London.

Not saying its going to happen, but we'll still be appealing to players.

I don't know. Have heard those sort of quotes hundreds of times. Normally always ends up the same way.

If I had to bet, just based on those quotes I'd say he'll be elsewhere.
I agree with Moomba - don't happen often

It may only be temporary, but I would say you won't sign players from clubs who have CL football - not ones from England anyway. Kante wouldn't walk away from CL football for a club who can't offer him that. And Leicester will be able to go a long way to match your wage offers imo

All that doesnt matter if the player wants out. When a player wants to leave he inevitably does.

I haven't read Kantes comments but of course if bigger clubs show interest which im sure they will his head will get turned for sure.
He's just said that he'll see what happens next season, wanted their opinion on him as he's got the least connection to the club.

Hahah cmon mate.

How are Chelsea, Arsenal or Juventus a step above where Leicester are at the moment?

The key words there are "at the moment"

Chelsea will bounce back. Arsenal are a perennial CL team and recent winners of back to back FA Cups and Juve are winning the Italian league for the millionth time in a row. They just made a CL final.

Leicester are having a cracking year but if big clubs come calling, players heads will get turned. The players know as well as we do that this is lightning in a bottle type stuff and very unlikely to continue on next season.

A player wont look just at next season. He will look at the next 5 years. Can Chelsea, Arsenal offer him CL football for 4 or 5 of the next 5 years? Probably. Can they win other trophies and challenge for the league? Probably.

Can Leicester? Probably not.

Look ill gladly eat my hat if you guys win the league and CL double next year but seriously. It's not gonna happen.

Too much is put into CL football. It's about money first and foremost.

If for example Leicester offered Kante 60k and week and CL football and Chelsea offered him 140k a week and no CL football. I know which one he is choosing.

Pep wants Ter Stegen at city and will sell Hart.
Don't see any reason to make a change unless Hart is considered a shit stirrer.

Thought that may have been the case with Mancini, but not heard much of that sort of stuff since.

I regret bringing Kante up, it's set Jod off again.
Good on you!

For the record, I can only see PSG coming in for him and him wanting to leave. Don't think he'd move to another PL club.

If we win the league and he wants to go, I won't stand in his way. He'll have legend status at Leicester regardless if it happens.

Was thinking it would be hard to compete with them wages wise. If he does go there you should at least be able to earn an extortionate transfer fee.

If you're a Leicester fan, you're surely hoping Kante has a terrible Euro's.

Don't think that would make much difference to be honest.

If we win the Premier League, I hope he wins the Euros as well. Would tie off a very special 12 months for the guy.
