If he is brilliant why isn't he worth his value, if not more? The thing is, is that Benteke is actually a brilliant player, not worth 32.5 million but id say 20-25.
Im sure we will get around 25 for him in the summer so the hit wont be that large. He will leave and bang in goals for someone else. But it just doesnt work at Liverpool and under Klopp.
No idea if Chelsea would fork out 25 for him. West Ham surely wont.

He is worth his value. His value is 20-25m. We clearly overpaid for him. Everyone knows this. Liverpool at their transfer business best. Hopefully those days are done now Klopp has arrived. If he is brilliant why isn't he worth his value, if not more?![]()
Surely if a player was brilliant though you would A) not want to sell him B) try to keep him at all costs C) play a system to suit his style.
Maybe he isn't so brilliant after all.....
Brilliant was perhaps a strong word. He's a very good player though and in the right set up and team is very effective and will score goals.Surely if a player was brilliant though you would A) not want to sell him B) try to keep him at all costs C) play a system to suit his style.

why would you need money back not like you're poor.does this mean we can get our money back on bony?
a 'talented striker who doesn't fit the system'

donations to smaller clubs like swansea is a good thing.
The brilliant player is Sturridge. The system should centre around making him effective.Surely if a player was brilliant though you would A) not want to sell him B) try to keep him at all costs C) play a system to suit his style.

Drives me nuts. Everyone was against bringing him in but Rodgers somehow thinks its a good idea and then seems genuinely shocked when it didn't work. The brilliant player is Sturridge. The system should centre around making him effective.
Makes you wonder what clubs are thinking bringing in players like Bony and Benteke when they are going to be square pegs in round holes.
As frustrating as it is having only 1 striker, we have a manager who isn't doing that. If the price or player style aren't right he doesnt waste money. Wasting money and failing to get results gets you sacked with Levy.

Doubt it. We have Levy remember.Wonder if you'd look at Benteke, don't think he'd be out of place in your system?

20-25m and 140k wages is a lot for a back up striker. We'll look elsewhere and probably find a suitable back up for far less. Benteke even if Liverpool paid some of his wages (say to make us pay 80k) would be nearly the highest paid at the club. Won't happen.
