He is going to be awesome for Arsenal and close to the best business of any team this window. Terry summed it up when he said he could be worth an extra 12 points for them.

As well as being a great keeper, he's also a great leader and a great organiser of the defence.

Yep, it's super business and getting it done early is good for both parties. It's actually been a great three seasons of smart buying by Arsene.

Also, can't wait to see that red helmet you just know is coming.

Caen president Jean-Francois Fortin has promised that the future of Leicester City target N'Golo Kante will be decided next week. The Foxes are understood to be vying for the signature of the 24-year-old central midfielder, who was one of the revelations of Ligue 1 over the final months of last season. He told Ouest France: "There will be a conclusion next week"

FYI Fryer Tuck

Would seem like we're trying to get the deal done ASAP.

Well, there we are, some promised action!

I think we've done a lot of work with this, and have been very patient about it. We want to make sure that the deal benefits all parties. We have likely come to terms with the player already, and made him know where he stands in the club, which is the most important part. No point making the bid if the player doesn't accept it. The president knows it will happen, but it has to be agreed upon by the player.

Come next week, the bid and offer will be done in one swift motion. Everyone will be happy.

Also on our radar, heh, Kim Shin-Wook
27, 194cm, very good header, and apparently has great strength. A replacement for Chris Wood, and satisfies the owner's desire for an Asian player. True, he hasn't scored many goals. However... Schlupp, Albrighton, Mahrez... can you say... feast? If we can fully use his height, holy crap.

Also another one is Kenji Gorre
Despite the name, he's actually Dutch, and is a highly rated youth prospect for Swansea at 20. He played in the 1-0 loss to Swansea, and is expected to get more game time next season. One other very big note: He's former a Man Utd youth player, so you already know where this is going.

Both of them would be decent additions, however for some unknown reason, I can see a lot of potential in Kim Shin-Wook in more ways than one. I think he might prove more to be than just a good option.

Apparently the Brazilian journalists who broke the Firmino to Liverpool story have been with the Brazilian camp for the duration of the Copa America so there could be something in this. Far from over the line from the sounds of things but it would make a lot of sense for club and for player.

Apparently we're competing with Marseille for his signature. Decent competition but I think we can pull it off.

I'm not that keen on Kim. I guess he'd be alright if he barely played, much like Wood.

Gorre is just trying to get a better deal with Swansea. Absolutely no way he'd move to us.

The club can accept your bid but if the player rejects terms its hardly going to be wrapped up this week though is it? Or is it accepted that Kante is happy to go to any PL club?

I doubt anyone knows tbh. You're absolutely right with what you say but word is that he's happy to play in the Premier League. All just speculation at this point though.

Any particular reason Cole isnt popular in the NE?

Cheryl?
Somethings he's said/done against Newcastle?

Or just the same reasons everyone else thinks he's a dick?
Pretty much for Cheryl I think moomba - seemed to get a few more boos than others whenever he visited St James' Park. I'm not too fussed about him either way, just think (personally) his wages and age wouldn't make him a sensible get for us. That being said, the laughs he gifted fans earlier in the season improves his stock in my eyes. :p
