diego costa is just as much of a prat on field as mario is/was. pepe as a striker.

big joleon to hull on a 2 year deal so says sky sauces (barbecue)

so so excited.

It's a very decent get for Hull. Europe probably helped get that done. His wages would still be a lot for a mid table club though.

He's agreed to halve his wages so would be 45-50k. On a free that's nothing.

think you got Costa all wrong Kizz
any team would be lucky to have him

balo is a different story

how?

diego costa has proven numerous times that he's a dickhead. so has mario

however, when it comes to pure talent, mario is streets ahead of costa. that's not me underrating costa. he's a good player, but what makes him so good is his hard work. he's not blessed with mario's natural talent, mario just doesn't make the most of his immense talents.

45-50k wages makes my head spin haha. So used to smaller wages.

The way I think about it is that if we're paying him 60k, that's the equivalent of signing him for 2m at 20k a week. That's peanuts.

the most important thing is that you've gotten an experienced england and premier league defender with title and cup wins, who is a leader and a top bloke who will give his all every game for the club. as frustrating as he was sometimes, he was still a huge part of 2011-12 and his efforts shouldn't be understated.

How's his fitness? At 31 he'd be slowing down a touch, otherwise I think he'd be a great signing for a lot of Prem clubs.

he's always been very fit. he's not the quickest, but most midtable clubs aren't exactly playing expansive high lines, which is the only reason he's leaving really, he just can't play in pelle's system he was still able to perform when called upon.

i think he may end up as one of the signings of the season

Absolutely, I think some are underselling just how good a signing this is. This isn't a Rio Ferdinand signing, Lescott may be 31 but he's not over the hill just yet.

EDIT: Sorry when I say 'some' I don't mean anyone on here. A mate of mine was rubbishing it. :P

Agree with this.

Costa is skillful but not exceptionally so (his touch isn't his best attribute), he's better when facing goal than with his back to it, he's a very good finisher, he's quick, and his aggressive nature coupled with his size means he can bully defenders. I'm sure he'll do well in the EPL next season and his work rate (the key to his success as a player last season) will no doubt make him a favourite of Mourinho's.

I think the Premier League has been missing a dickhead since Mario left, I'm looking forward to the chaos this guy creates.

Hearing 25m pounds being the fee being bandied around for Balotelli.

Don't see that being the issue for Arsenal, but more likely his wage demands

Second bench:
Schwarzer, Ake, Ramires, Mikel, Piazon, Torres, Ba

On Ba, over the weekend, there was a picture on Twitter (not sure if it was current or an old picture) where someone had taken a snap of Ba's car parked in Newcastle sparking a few rumours he might be coming back.

We were also linked to Aubameyang from Dortmund and a few of the reporting articles mentioned you guys as being another interested club (not sure you'd need him though unless one of Lukaku, Torress or Ba were to go first?).

Chelsea's slap a £32M price tag on Lukaku apparently and we are offering Kroos £160k a week over 5 years.
I don't think he would have garnered any interest after that performance this morning.

Lol as if Chelsea need Kroos, this is getting ridiculous.
