well this just proves that going about football the perceived right way is all well and good until the up and leave for greener pastures.

an utter fallacy and nothing more than that.
I really do feel for Southampton in all of this. They'll likely be much closer to a relegation battle next season depending on how much is reinvested into the squad.

I'd love to see a smaller club do well and then not get gutted for all its players in the next off season.

it will never, ever happen. anyone in midtable will be picked apart by other clubs. sure they may get 60 mil. but they've lost a 15 year player.

It must make you sick as a Saints fan. Especially to lose them all at once. Not to mention your manager. Poor bastards.

Well done to united on getting Shaw. Still believe Chelsea was his first choice but agree that we could not justify his wages and transfer. If he can prove himself a long term player then it's an excellent investment.

suarez laawyer says he has a deal with barca will meet lfc offixials soon to organise transfer

@RafaelH117: Regarding Suárez lawyer "confirming" he has a deal with Barcelona, his answer wasn't clear as most are treating it.
@RafaelH117: Was asked if the ban would derail Suárez move to Barça and Balbi (lawyer) answered he didn't know and was going to talk with his agent.

Tony Barrett reckons Suarez is resolved to go to Barca and they are still keen to buy despite the suspension

Well well Barca, if you want him, get it done in a few weeks, we need time to spend that cash

Markovic could be absolutely world class, works hard both ways, has pace, great on the ball, can pick a pass or score a goal, but his end product's erratic, and I wonder if it's too early for him for the big move

I would rather Shaqiri, someone who is also very young but already an established international star with loads of experience behind him. Markovic could take a season of bedding in, but Shaqiri can hit the ground running

I hope Markovic doesn't have a Lamela first season is what I'm hoping

So United have spent 60m on two players.

Are the same United fans, who, always pay out on City for spending lavishly, going to condemn their own clubs actions?

We hear the same thing every time we spend money, but this time the money had to be spent.

Cheap way to try and start an argument.

All United fans said ages ago that we need now to spend massively.
