They had Luis Suarez who had one of the best premier league seasons I've ever seen! Sturridge and Gerrard who I mentioned as good enough were their next best players, Sterling only came into it in around December and it will be good for England if he can back it up this season and become a player.

Henderson is the interesting one because he does prove my point somewhat. He did play a big role in Liverpool's season but he is the sort of player that is very findable on the continent for much less than the £16-20m Liverpool spent on him. Also if you look at the rest of the league their challengers all played mid-week games and had new managers which would also have aided their cause

How many years does Toure have left on his contract? This season plus two more? Great player but his wages at his age plus whatever city ask for him make it fairly expensive.

I think they would rather sell Vidal than Pogba, Pogba's value will probably increase even more next season.

If he's not signing an extension it may be wiser to sell Pogba this window as he's at a greater value.

i have no emotion towards where the players are from.

all that matters is if they're talented. im interested in the development of english youth players but if they're not good enough, there's no point in pretending so. most english players are either unobtainable for us realistically or just not good enough to play for a top side.

until the fa and grass roots realise this then england will continue to be let down.

I want the best players available to play for Liverpool but I always do like to have one or two scousers in the team. Just seems right. Gerrard and Lambert are the resident scousers right now. Both are old though so it's up to Martin Kelly and Flanno to keep improving and break through.

If Lucas is going to the Serie A which it looks like he will, then we will probably sign a holding mid maybe not this window but maybe the next one or the next summer one, need a long term replacement for Gerrard in the holding role and I think Can plays his best as box to box rather than sitting

Maybe in that time, Rossiter can come through and we wont have to buy.

Interesting. Apparently we're keen on him too, but personally not fussed if he goes there instead.

Think he's the sort of player who would do well with a manager like Steve Bruce - who he's worked with well twice before - but might be a pretty big liability at a club that can't manage him quite so well.

Pretty sure he came out in an interview with France Football magazine and claimed that City didn't allow him time off to see his dying brother because of the end of season tour in the UAE. Pretty full on stuff to say if not true especially after the birthday cake shemozzle.

yes.

no one can afford what ourselves or what he himself would want. there's no real actual evidence that he's said anything so far, just what we read online and what his ranting, raving lunatic of an agent has said. until i see him say something or he releases an official release saying he wants to leave, then he's staying.

the last time he supposedly was desperate to leave he signed a new deal. it just feels like a massive beat up, with the media keen to pounce on anything, just like they did with mario
