Seriously dunno what happened to Lescott, thought he was great in their title winning year under Mancini, him and Kompany were very good together, and he even scored some crucial goals

Nothing really. Nastasic came in and earned his spot on the team. Lescott still started about half of our league games.

This year he's struggled a bit with the new system. But still done a job when required.

Ended up being a good signing for us, not worth the £22m we paid for him but he was never going to manage that. With Barry, will be received very well by blues when they come back with another team.

Be closer to €20-25mil.

We were rumoured to have had a nibble in January when it became apparent getting Shaw was getting out of control were told to come back after the season had finished.

With Wolfsburg missing CL he wont be there next season IMO.
I was talking English pounds, not Euros. ;)

So that would be £15-20. Not as good as I thought but still would pay it.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has given a lengthy interview to Bild today, which will be of interest to Liverpool fans.

Rumours emerged over the weekend that Liverpool were eager to sign Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can, and these have been confirmed by Voller.

He admits that Liverpool are interested in Emre Can and he does have a release clause, understood to be worth 12 million euros.

On Liverpool’s reported move for the player, Voller says: “We know there is interest, but have nothing official.”

Voller: “It is clear that Emre now has a clause in the contract – a decision is still pending. The business would be lucrative. But that is not the sticking point. We are of the opinion that Emre would still do well one years with us.”

The former Germany striker adds: ” [Bayer Leverkusen coach] Roger Schmidt has already spoken with him, he is really into the player. And I am convinced that Can would be even better with Roger.”

Finally, Voller is also asked by Bild about the fact Bayern Munich have a buy-back clause on Emre Can which they can utilise in 2015.

The Leverkusen sporting director adds: “Of course I spoke with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge [of Bayern Munich] on the subject. They think that for Emre’s development another season Leverkusen would be just right.”

It would appear much will depend on Brendan Rodgers being able to convince Emre Can to leave Leverkusen and Germany for Anfield.

That to me indicates that the clause does indeed exist, and the decision of whether to move or not will come down to the player.

So which is it? A loan or a sale?

Why the **** do Bayer Leverkusen give two shits about what Bayern Munich think about Can's development?

The whole deal smells.

No way were getting Robben, just newspapers linking us with half the Dutch squad, if were gonna buy a Dutch winger it would be Memphis Depay who has alot of potential.

After all the complaining the Catalan press do over Arsenal signing kids from La Masia surely a club as upstanding as Barca would not do the same.

I can sympathise with Barca on that. They lose their kids for no compensation and no say in the matter. At least with this one they'd have to come to a deal with Liverpool.

Geez, you're 18 and have a choice between staying in Liverpool or moving to Barcelona and being on more money..

I know which one I would be choosing.
