Both Costa and Balotelli are ticking time bombs, Deigo's playing style suits us better though.

costa is a gun mate much better signing than balo

I hope he proves me wrong and proceeds to shred it up for Chelsea but until that happens, I stick by my claim of a preference for Balotelli despite his antics.

Balotelli's to much of a prima donna for my liking, Costa loves doing the grunt work and will be a more consistent performer IMO. A real Jose type of player.
Honestly not sure about that. Doesn't mind a dive/playacting. Grunt work doesn't really mix with that. Lampard loved grunt work, Costa not so much.

I guess we'll see, I agree he loves dive/playacting but in the times I've watched him he doesn't mind tracking back and getting involved and is great at linking up with the other attacking players.

Nice window round up from Di Marzio's website.......
For those new to the site we end the day with a recap of the major transfer news of the day. The version on the English page is slightly different than the one on Italian page, here we tend to focus more on news of interest to an international audience, so without further due let’s go over major stories of the day…

Chelsea was the team of the day- they will spend 25 million euro to exercise the exit clause in Filipe Luis’ contract, meanwhile his teammate Diego Costa gave an interview in Brazil in which he confirmed that unless there are big surprises he will join the Blues. Atletico Madrid continues to be active in replacing their players, they already signed Siqueira and will try to convince Chelsea to leave them Courtois for more one more season (Levante’s Navas is the alternative). For the striker position, Atletico is looking to Manchester’s City’s Negredo but that won’t be an easy or quick negotiation. Speaking of City, Inter is interested in acquiring Jovetic on loan with option to buy. The nerazzurri are also pursuing Rubin Kazan’s M’Vila (Taider could be included in the deal) as well as QPR’s M’Bia, who had a strong season on loan at Sevilla. Before we leave England, Everton made an offer to Torino for winger Cerci but it was deemed too low especially because the Azzurri’s winger is negotiating a contract extension with the granata. Everton is also close to acquiring Cardiff City’s defender Caulker.

In Spain we saw a few transfer story lines that didn’t involve Atletico Madrid today. Barcelona officially announced the acquisition of Ivan Rakitic, while Celta Vigo is set to acquire striker Joaquin Larrivery. Valencia is currently negotiation with former Roma midfielder Taddei, Peter Lim’s new club is now facing Zenit’s competition for Juve’s striker Mirko Vucinic. Speaking of Juve, they continue to negotiate with Sampdoria and Sassuolo on the co ownerships of strikers Gabbiadini (who doesn’t want the clubs to extend the co ownership), Zaza and Berardi (who appears headed to Turin). Let’s end with two Serie A players who are participating in the World Cup, Sampdoria defender Mustafi could head back to his home country Germany as he has offers from Dortmund, Leverkusen and Schalke, while Colombian winger Cuadrado (whom Fiorentina would like to replace with Wolfsburg Rodriguez) continues to be pursued by Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich who is also competing with Monaco for Azzurri goal keeper Perin. Good night with a mercato flurry…

Brighton striker Leonardo Ulloa has set his heart on a move to the Premier League, writes Martin Lipton.

Top flight new-boys Leicester have seen a £7million bid for the Argentine rejected out of hand.

New Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia has also insisted he wants to keep the 27-year-old, who has scored 26 goals in 58 appearances since joining Brighton in January last year.

Ulloa has told friends he wants the chance to prove himself on the big stage following back-to-back seasons losing in the playoffs with Brighton, but has not yet spoken to Hyypia.

Linking Arsenal to Nani and Cleverly.

If we sign either of those ****ing spuds i'll be leading the Arsene out charge.

To be fair Nani isn't that bad, but Cleverely was talked up to be the next best thing at united and has been so disappointing, he's not a woeful player though, just not good enough for the big clubs, we should be looking to offload him.

Yep, with the United link we have, our fans were discussing him coming to Leicester. My first reaction was that I wouldn't go near him but then I kinda figured he could probably do OK for us. Wouldn't be the worst option imo.

I don't think there was a serious link (what's he worth?) but it was an interesting discussion.

diego costa is just as much of a prat on field as mario is/was. pepe as a striker.

big joleon to hull on a 2 year deal so says sky sauces (barbecue)
It's a very decent get for Hull. Europe probably helped get that done. His wages would still be a lot for a mid table club though.
