But how many English players are in the Liverpool side who finished second?
Think the assumption was made that without Suarez Liverpool are no longer a top 2 team. Chelsea and City are the top title contenders (again), and I agree that Sterling/Henderson/Lallana etc wouldn't make it into either of their starting lineups. All depends on how you spend the Suarez $$$ but without some serious signings you are definitely weaker without him.

people actually think another club would pay

1) what we want
2) what yaya wants

cute. he has 1 season left with us anyways. i highly doubt he'll match what he has done

then it's all aboard the pogba express. next stop, penetration city.

At the risk of inciting more irrelevant debate, I too believe Aguero is a better footballer than Toure. I actually think Silva is too. All are brilliant players. Yaya had a magnificent season. Is that so bad to say?

i also enjoy the presumption that we would just leave a yaya toure sized hole in midfield.

we have monies
Do you think City would need to get rid of Toure to buy Pogba?

It was an ambiguous question to ask and all answers are debatable. Let's just leave it at that. And screw City for having all three.

No it's not.

You wouldn't have Suarez, the gap only widens.

He also isn't City's best player.
True. I forgot about that. :(

I actually agree, I reckon Aguero is one of the worlds best strikers but most people say Yaya.

This doesn't make any sense, Suarez is better than Gerrard has ever or will ever be. Current output is irrelevant in that discussion.
Gerrard has had a better career than Suarez. And how much a player peaks does not define how good they are as a player. Consistency is more valuable.

Yet your arguments as to why Toure is better than Aguero are based on current output rather than value over their career? So in that case shouldn't you say that Gerrard > Suarez?

Aguero was injured a fair bit but scored 17 goals in 23 games. Managed 28 goals in 34 games all up.

So no.
And Toure was the more durable player who scored only 4 goals less as a midfielder.

Current output Toure > Aguero
Current output Suarez > Gerrard
Overall career Gerrard > Suarez
I didn't think it was that hard to understand...

i'd say our most talented player is silva by a fair distance. the stuff he can do with the ball is magical.

yaya uses strength and that burst off the mark to get the jump on his opponents. but on the ball, silva is the man.
