Haha so you're assuming we're not going to bother replacing him and will instead have £75-80m just sitting in our piggy bank come the end of the transfer window?
It is hard to replace Suarez though, he is a once in a generation player at our club. Our replacement won't be as good as Suarez unless it's Messi or Ronaldo (which it obviously won't be) so the gap will widen. How far depends on who the replacement is.
Not at all, I just doubt you can bring in that quality or a quick fix.

I think most teams will be playing catch up to City and Chelsea next season.
That's what all this money has done to the league. They both seem unstoppable. :(

A lot of PL clubs having strong off-seasons. In fact I can't think of too many clubs that have bought players I would consider shit.

There's your answer, clubs now have an extra £20-40m to play with every season. More money = higher quality players.

How are they even going to recruit players? No one would want to come to a club that's in absolute shambles:confused:o_O

No idea mate. Apparently that Estonian guy only signed a few days ago - he'd be a bit worried if he made the right decision or not.

I suppose if they approach me, I could turn out for them ;)

You'd hope as a fan they would be working on some signings! But even then, they probably need a good 14-17 signings to fill out the squad. Not to mention that with the season only a few weeks away, they need to gel and settle as a team/get used to how each other play.

Would make it difficult for the new manager too to get the team playing the way he wants in time for the season opener when he can't even field a full team for a friendly!

Crazy to think when they went down they were considered to be in healthy financial shape because they hadn't spent big. Owners pocket the money and now look at them.

What's the rules when playing with an undermanned squad? I genuinely don't know because I never considered it before.

Suppose they play youth players?

Guillem Balague
Luis Suárez to Barcelona should be confirmed within 48 hours.

Along with Markovic to LFC
I actually miss him already...:cry::cry:

Hope for their sake there's not a limit to the amount of youth/reserves they can play.

Wouldn't think there could be, but yeah they may end up with 16/17 year olds playing which would be humiliating.

Suarez is the best player I've ever seen in a red shirt, even better than Gerrard at the top of his game

Will actually miss watching him play football. He would look terrible in a Barca shirt, he looks made for red
Better than Vladimír Šmicer? C'mon?

Yeah, very sad for their fans. Reminds me a lot of ourselves (with an owner who likes to pocket the profits) and even with Wonga as their main sponsor :(

Yeah, believe the minimum squad sizes a club need to register is usually about 18 players (11 plus subs - though did the championship revert back to 5 man benches?). If my football manager knowledge is still correct, you can have as many 'youth' and reserve players as you want playing in the first team as you want provided they are under contract (and not on month to month deals).

The obvious drawback is youth players are generally not as seasoned, skilled, physically or mentally mature as seasoned pros. Given how physical the championship is, it could be tough on quite a few of them though there is the chance they unearth a few promising young players who thrive on the opportunity of playing first team football.

Would have thought N'Gog would be up there myself given how much my Liverpool mates loved to talk about him back in the day :p

Fulham have agreed a fee of 11 million pounds with Leeds for Ross McCormack - we'll hear from Felix Magath #SSN

Wahahahahaha is that real?
That was done yesterday. We've been joking/talking about it all day
