Pretty sure he came out in an interview with France Football magazine and claimed that City didn't allow him time off to see his dying brother because of the end of season tour in the UAE. Pretty full on stuff to say if not true especially after the birthday cake shemozzle.

is there audio about?

I struggle to believe if the only purpose of his leave was to see his brother that it wouldn't be granted. Sure if true it would be a good reason to want out but I just can't imagine a club saying no to that request at that time of year.

His agent is the one doing the talking and it's making Yaya look like a bit of a primadonna. He has a vested intertest in Yaya being sold as agents receive signing bonuses etc when a player moves. The real question is why is Yaya sticking with this lunatic?

they have some sort of long term partnership i think. i can't remember the exact story, but a child of one of the two is named after the other.

for the last few years seluk has said he will leave if such and such doesn't happen. it's why im struggling to take it seriously.

Tommy Oar, Jason Davidson and Mathew Leckie linked with moves to Palace, West Brom and Stoke respectively.

Leckie would be wasted at Stoke. He'll just be chasing long balls all day out on the wing.

yaya's agent isnt saying shit to deny anything. he's the whole reason this nonsense is happening in the first place.

whether yaya is preoccupied with something else, like football or mourning with his family right now, no one really knows. there's no point jumping to conclusions one way or another. the cake thing was agent driven to the extreme, i have no idea about this personal leave business because there is no way that we would ever deny anyone personal leave, especially for something so serious. it's just an absolute mess and will hopefully be cleared up sooner rather than later.

if he wants to leave, then shame on him for going this route because it's left a sour taste in everyone's mouths. but it could also just be a load of bollocks and yaya just hasn't had the energy or desire to address it yet.

Hughes is trying to change their game style, they didnt play that bad of a style last season, certainly not at Fat Sam levels of hoofball.

I get the feeling it could all be his agent too. Really needs him to come out and address everything on the table as realistically Yaya Toure will never get it better than he gets it now earning top dollar at one of Europe's best clubs for the remaining 2-3 years left in his career at elite level.

I've said this before. Suarez is up there as one of the best players this club has seen of that there's no doubt, but there will always be another Suarez, Torres, Owen etc coming over the horizon. Liverpool's task will be to yet again find that player before everyone else does, and as we've seen in the past they're not always found in the most obvious places.

In 1969 we sold Roger Hunt and brought in 19 year old Kevin Keegan.
In 1977 we sold Keegan to Hamburg and brought in Dalglish.
In 1987 we sold Ian Rush (along with Van Basten and Lineker probably the best striker in Europe at the time after scoring 207 goals in his previous 322 games including 47 in 1983/84) to Juventus, and brought in Beardsley, Aldridge, Houghton and a relatively unknown young winger called John Barnes.
As Rush began to wind down before eventually retiring in 1996, we wondered who would replace our record goalscorer. Up stepped Robbie Fowler and Ballon d'Or winner Michael Owen to lead our attack for the following 7-8 years.
In 2004 we sold Owen to Real Madrid, and on the only occasion in the last 40 years that we didn't immediately replace our star attacker with a player of equal quality, we competed in 2 Champions League finals in the following 3 seasons before signing Torres in 2007.
In 2011 we sold Torres and brought in Suarez, a player who had enjoyed success in a relatively weak Eredivisie but had question marks over whether he could translate that form to one of the big leagues.

Suarez is an incredible footballer and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him wear the Liverpool shirt for the last 3 and a half years but as you can see, life goes on. With the £75-80m we're likely to pocket from his sale it's certainly not the end of the world as a few Liverpool supporters* have been predicting!

It's kind of end of the worldy. With the money that Chelsea and City have now, it's INCREDIBLY hard to win the PL title. Suarez gave us a brief sniff of it. Whilst I dont think we will suddenly become shit. I think his departure will see us struggle to finish top 4. City and Chelsea will again challenge for the title. Arsenal are buying EXTREMELY well. United got rid of their poinless manager (Moyes) and hired an actual real one. Spurs too brought in an actual real manager and have a talented squad.

It will be tough to finish top 4.

I really, really want to win the title. Suarez' exit means that's no longer a realistic goal. So for me, yeah, end of the worldy.

You've got some very good points there. Suarez is on another level to Torres ever was and he was so crucial to your team just like Bale was for us. We are the perfect case of what happens when your "sell Elvis and buy the Beatles". Yes the money is great but it has to be spent well. The likes of Bale and Suarez are/were so instrumental to their teams success that they'll be very hard to replace. Going into the 13/14 season I said that if we kept Bale and added just 1 or 2 around him we'd be able to push the top 2 and pass the likes of Arsenal & United but instead we went and sold him and replaced him with 7 players from outside the PL. That policy did not work well and AVB and Sherwood both were sacked because of it
