If Arsenal avoid the horror run of injuries they had last season along with the addition of Sanchez, it pushes them into title contention now I think.

City are favourites I think, Chelsea second, now Arsenal third.

Jordan Rhodes has signed until 2019, he won't be going anywhere this summer. Also can't wait to see Sanchez in the Prem, looks like a great signing.
We were never linked with him but dammit! ;)

That's how it was always going to be when you lost Suarez. Getting Sanchez means they'll close the gap but they were still likely to be there or thereabouts.

Oh of course, with Suarez, I would make us 3rd favourites... without. We drop away completely. In fact with Suarez off to Barca, I think only three teams can win the PL next season and the fight for 4th will be between Spurs, us and the scum.

I'd say that's about right.

It's disappointing because we finally put a squad together capable of winning the league, fall two points short. This was the offseason where we were going to fix several problems and really pad out the squad to have a red hot go.

Imagine if we do bring in Markovic, Lovren, Origi and Moreno which are rumoured targets on top the already signed Can, Lallana and Lambert and we dont sell Suarez.

Our squad all of a sudden looks really lethal and deep. But Suarez is the key. But he is gone. The wait for a league title will unfortunately go on.

Looks like discussing him on the Podcast was very timely. ;)

It is. Allow us to loan out Jenkinson, who I have seen has been linked to Stoke.

Bugger, wouldn't have minded him, we definitely need to improve our full backs.

Take me now.

Bloody good signing. Arsenal will be an absolute force next season. My tip to win PL.

Decent result. I'd still have them in the underperforming camp, especially in comparison with Liverpool who had a far worse squad. Ozil was nowhere near as influential as you'd have liked either.

I don't think anyone would deny that, he got burnt out halfway through the season, and consequently got injured. Without Walcott the lack of movement up front didn't help Ozil's game. I would expect an improvement with a year of EPL experience under his belt. Sanchez will help bring the best out of Ozil imo (also when walcott comes back)

The signing though lifted the squad and if we had more depth we would have been able to keep up the title challenge, alas injuries killed us last year. Still to win our first major trophy in ages was a good result.
