Ramsey injury is what cost us a chance at the title.

In my view he's our most influential and inform mid. Just hope he carries that over into this season.

doesnt make sense.
LFC are getting 75m if they sold last year it would have been 40m and it probably cost AFC the opportunity to win the league.
Also Ozil wasnt that good REAL got a great deal from that

I am hoping Sanchez flops, but I know he won't

Here's hoping Wenger still doesn't buy that holding player they've needed for like 5 years. Add Bender as the one sitting while Ramsey and Ozil do what they do and it's concerning

The top 4 seems to be pulling away from the rest though, clubs outside the top 6 are getting weaker while the top 4 are getting stronger.

And who do you consider top 4?

There is no chance United hasn't improved and will definitely be contending a top 4 spot.

Imo barca are buying a player they don't need. Its hilarious.
It might be funny for you... :(

Right now you aren't definately contending. Shaw is still young and Herrera isn't really a huge name.

The ones who finished top 4 last season

Before people go off on Liverpool I think we've improved our squad and will continue to, and it's more of a squad game. Lastseason it cost us points when we had to bring Moses and Aspas on when things weren't working, or play Toure

Central defense is a concern for Man Utd, a lot of experiences just left there, gotta replace it adequately. Herrera is a very very good player but last season it was their defense that really cost them loads of points. They'd need to buy well

I would also like to see how Van Gaal plans to integrate all 3 of RVP Rooney and Mata in the side, some form of diamond maybe

The United signings so far are better then what Liverpool have added, Liverpool are also going to lose Suarez.
We also won't have clueless Moyes in charge.

We have several more signings to make. Both Vidal and Hummels are genuine chances of happening, Di Maria could also happen.

van Gaal is making moves.

We'll be top four, no doubt about it. No CL to worry about, just the league.

Err, it's just a funny picture, relax guy and have a laugh.

We've signed one of the most promising central mids in Germany, and Lallana who was just in the team of the season, then someone who just had like 16 goals and 12 assists in the league as a depth signing

United signed one of the best left backs in Luke Shaw, Herrera's a great talent but still unproven in the league

I don't see how United has done better than us so far, they could still do

Until blokes like Vidal and Hummels are signed I am not convinced. Shaw isn't the finished product, Herrera a gun but not a household name.

You aren't guaranteed the big names like usual because you don't have CL. However if you can get Vidal and Hummels and maybe one more I'd expect you to finish top 4.

It's going to be awfully hard for us to get in. The 2 oil rich clubs are guaranteed in. Arsenal are looking very strong and that leaves one spot for us to battle it out with United.

IMO Shaw and Herrera>>>>>>>> Can and Lallana. I would rate that as doing better.

Even if those players don't come without Suarez there is no gap between United and Liverpool.

Merely opinion, but I don't see how one is better than the other where I am

There was a 20 point gap

We've heard it all about Man Utd fans before, last season they were so sure they'd finish top 4, even after Christmas. I guess if you say it enough and you spend enough you might get it right eventuallyh

Herrera may never be a household name (although playing for Man Utd probably gets you there), but that doesn't make him a bad player.
He won't get on the scoresheet much, but the work he does will be valued by those who know what a box-to-box midfielder is meant to do.

Liverpool's success or failure during the transfer period comes down to how the $70M is spent.

You'd hope they'd just get 2 big names for $30-40M each and really add some quality, I think Tottenham spent too little on too many with the Bale money.

Liverpool have the foundations, they just need a star up front.

Not sure who said around Christmas we would, seemed obvious early on. No Moyes also helps.

Look at it this way, the gap the previous year between United and Liverpool was fairly large, things turn. I'm in no way saying we'll finish top 4 but there is 6 teams then a gap.

Well what exactly does that have to do with Arsenal? Liverpools owner being a ****wit is not something we can fix.

People talking shit about Ozil for Arsenal and Germany clearly have no idea.

He needs a rest, people forget how good he was early for Arsenal - key player in our massive lead in the league at Christmas.

But injuries hurt us and his form dropped a fair bit.
He can't play that many games, so getting a Sanchez and fit Wilshere/Ramsey/Podolski is big for us as it helps him

No doubt how we spend the Suarez money will be a huge influence on the fortunes of Liverpool for the next 5-10 years. If we are sensible and buy quality instead of rubbish quantity like Bertrand we are still in the top 4 fight I reckon.
