I think there's a gap in the top 4, then a bit of a gap and the other 3, then the rest

Kinda expected a bit of an exodus in Spurs, but I guess those players might stick around one more time for Pocchetino

Everton, talk is they'd get Bony which would be a great get, but I dunno whether they can sustain another 70 point season without spending, and Kenwrong's gonna try his best not to

Out of the top 4 we are the most likely to drop off but bar Suarez, the rest of the team's still there, depends on how we spend the money

Well what exactly does that have to do with Arsenal? Liverpools owner being a ******* is not something we can fix.
If you had Suarez you might have won the league. I doubt it though as I think we were a better team last year even with Suarez we didn't win.

What he is referring to is that AW was not to blame for us not getting Suarez last year. We offered his buyout clause, your owner refused to negotiate, nothing we could do.

It's disappointing because we finally put a squad together capable of winning the league, fall two points short. This was the offseason where we were going to fix several problems and really pad out the squad to have a red hot go.

Imagine if we do bring in Markovic, Lovren, Origi and Moreno which are rumoured targets on top the already signed Can, Lallana and Lambert and we dont sell Suarez.

Our squad all of a sudden looks really lethal and deep. But Suarez is the key. But he is gone. The wait for a league title will unfortunately go on.

Haha it's early in the window Jod, let's see what the squad looks like come the start of the season before throwing in the towel. Chelsea and Arsenal have done some great work early on but our involvement in this transfer window is far from over, there will be a few more top quality signings to come in and I'm confident in Rodgers ability as a manager to get this team playing great football with or without Suarez. We didn't completely dismantle the likes of Arsenal (5-1), Tottenham (5-0, 4-0), Everton (4-0) and United (3-0) last season by giving the ball to the Uruguayan and hoping he'd dribble past 3 or 4 players before pulling a 30 yard rocket out of his arse as we saw with Tottenham and Gareth Bale in 2012/13 (we save that tactic for Norwich). We beat them because we relentlessly pressed them into making mistakes, and overwhelmed them by moving the ball swiftly and accurately in attack.

Replacing Suarez's goals and creativity next season will be a massive challenge, but with a few smart additions and natural improvement from some of our key younger players like Coutinho, Sterling, Henderson, Sturridge, Suso etc our style of football will hold up and I don't see us dropping away catastrophically, I still see us as the 3rd or 4th best side in the league. Obviously a slightly simplistic way of looking at it but even if we only replace him with a player(s) capable of contributing 20 goals a season that's still an 80-90 goal per season attack.

Also, weren't we told all of last season that Suarez didn't turn up in the big games anyway? Haha if that's the case then surely we've got nothing to worry about!

The United signings so far are better then what Liverpool have added, Liverpool are also going to lose Suarez.
We also won't have clueless Moyes in charge.

We have several more signings to make. Both Vidal and Hummels are genuine chances of happening, Di Maria could also happen.

van Gaal is making moves.

We'll be top four, no doubt about it. No CL to worry about, just the league.

Tipped you guys to miss the four last season and was just about the only one to do so, and I'm tipping you to make the four this season. Decent incomings, decent manager, and will improve the style of play to get the best out of who you have.

Really can't see United finishing in the four unless thay make some more pretty massive signings.

I think we'll make some more solid additions to the squad. A winger is badly needed as is a quality defender. If we fill those holes I see no reason why we can't contend for the PL title.

A class winger, defender and probably central midfielder and United would have a squad that could be back in contention. Just can't afford to get stingy because real quality is needed.

I think the EPL is going to be something special next season. Really looking forward to it.

Me too, going to be incredible competitive.

I don't think price is going to be an issue. With the signings already we have gone hard. Still think there is plenty of spending still to do. Only recently someone from United (ex player I think) said there will be around 7 more signings.

There's just so much money in English football now, every side from Man City down to Burnley will be making quality additions to their squads this summer, hopefully that translates into high quality football across the league.

Bit worried about the promoted clubs, but I suppose that's said every year. None of the three seem to have added anything particularly special to their squads. I'm not advocating completely turning over your squad, but a tweak here and there and some real quality in a player or two can make all the difference. Still early days I suppose.

For some sick reason I kind of hope Liverpool hold onto Suarez and tell Barca to feck off. He may be a total douche but good EPL is good.

suarez is gone mate medical tmrw apparently

I remember when United sold Ronaldo, was gutted. To this day we never properly replaced him or even spent the money well. Going by deals today we should have asked for double.

They are going up with stronger squads IMO. When we went up the Championship was quite weak. All 3 sides do still need to add a fair bit though I agree.

I think some Liverpool fans are underestimating how much losing Suarez is going to hurt...if they somehow manage to keep him then they are equal favourites along with Chelsea for the title but if not then it's looking similar to Tottenham MkII from last season where they bought way too many players with the Bale windfall. Time will tell though.
