So the club who should be banned from transfers buys a player who is banned from football.

Used to have great respect for Barcalona but they have become everything that is wrong with football.

Welcome to what Arsenal fans have been saying for the last 5+ years.

Well Liverpool now have some coin to throw around.

I think we'll make some more solid additions to the squad. A winger is badly needed as is a quality defender. If we fill those holes I see no reason why we can't contend for the PL title.
Jesus christ you guys are funny. Your squad is horrible. You might be a shot to squeeze into 4th but contend for the league title. You're having a laugh.

Bought for 23m --> contributed 82 goals in 133 appearances (along with numerous assists) --> sold for 75m.

We produce great strikers.

BE AFRAID!

It's all guesswork to an extent. The Spanish papers always taint their stories to suit the agenda of their clubs though. Very subjective.

Marca are known for just making up crap at times.

Yeah I don't doubt Barça would be briefing the press with a lower figure. They've got recent history for it, see Neymar.

All reliable UK journalists & many in Spain are reporting £75m (around €94m).

Our squad is not horrible, that's a ridiculous call jod, ridiculous.

We've got some quality players, and I did say we need to add to that to challenge for the title. I'm sure LVG will be working hard to bring in the right guys.

You sound like someone who can't handle the fact we might be back, we finish 7th one season on over 20 odd years and you seem to think we are a midtable rable, and this is coming from a Liverpool supporter, hilarious!

If our squad is horrible what does that make yours then? Ours was better than yours with Suarez, without him i guess your going to get relegated?

from one ridiculous post to another

It will be 64 rising to 75 depending on trophies, goals ect ect.

Thats usually how it will go.

Not in this case, being a release clause it'll be a non-negotiable fee of £75m that might be paid in installments as is usually the case with transfer fees, but won't be dependent on those sorts of finicky conditions. If they'd structured their offer in that way then we wouldn't have been obliged to sell.

Whats Moyes got to do with anything?

You claimed you were better than us with Suarez? I assume you were blaming the result on the manager? If not what? We were 20 points above you.

Suarez has issued a statement:

"It is with a heavy heart that I leave Liverpool for a new life and new challenges in Spain. Both me and my family have fallen in love with this club and with the city.

"But most of all I have fallen in love with the incredible fans. You have always supported me and we, as a family, will never forget it, we will always be Liverpool supporters.

"I hope you can all understand why I have made this decision. This club did all they could to get me to stay, but playing and living in Spain, where my wife's family live, is a lifelong dream and ambition. I believe now the timing is right.

"I wish Brendan Rodgers and the team well for the future. The club is in great hands and I'm sure will be successful again next season.

"I am very proud I have played my part in helping to return Liverpool to the elite of the Premier League and in particular back into the Champions League.

"Thank you again for some great moments and memories. You'll Never Walk Alone."
