Ok so it's not horrible. But it's not great. You have blokes like Tom Cleverly, Fellaini and Darren Fletcher running around in midfield. Your wingers are Valencia, Nani and Young. You have Evra, Evans, Smalling and Jones. It's not exactly world class. Our squad is not horrible, that's a ridiculous call jod, ridiculous.
We've got some quality players, and I did say we need to add to that to challenge for the title. I'm sure LVG will be working hard to bring in the right guys.
You sound like someone who can't handle the fact we might be back, we finish 7th one season on over 20 odd years and you seem to think we are a midtable rable, and this is coming from a Liverpool supporter, hilarious!
So your squad finished 7th and we finished 2nd.If our squad is horrible what does that make yours then? Ours was better than yours with Suarez, without him i guess your going to get relegated?

Apparently we agreed a fee but his wage request was stupidly high.Frazier Campbell's move to Leicester not looking good now that you're in for Ulloa Jatz
Please take him, bargain at 800k. Don't want an unhappy player chewing up good wages.
Don't know much about Ulloa. Surely for the prices being mentioned there is a decent options out there who have played in better top flight standard football?Apparently we agreed a fee but his wage request was stupidly high.
I'd honestly prefer neither of those two. We are going in one last time for Ulloa, I'm hopeful Brighton hold on to him.
Standard one sentence posts from you.
Never any actual analysis.
Suarez has one excellent year and suddenly he is the greatest.
What?28 goals 19 assists in 43 games
49 goals 24 assists in 48 games
30 goals 10 assists in 44 games
31 goals 15 assists in 36 games
Bah. This thread has been rubbish from all sides tonight, I'm out of here.
What?
Where are you pulling those stats from?
I'm definitely with you. It's quoted our final offer for Ulloa is 7.5 mil. That's ridiculous money for someone that really isn't that good and is untried at this level.Don't know much about Ulloa. Surely for the prices being mentioned there is a decent options out there who have played in better top flight standard football?
Lol who cares about Ajax.08/09 and 09/10 seasons with Ajax
12/13 and 13/14 seasons with Liverpool
Google.
Lol who cares about Ajax.
That has nothing to do with his EPL seasons.
He scored 69 goals in 110 games for Liverpool with one excellent season.
It's the same with West Ham going for Enner Valencia for £12m after a decent World Cup.I'm definitely with you. It's quoted our final offer for Ulloa is 7.5 mil. That's ridiculous money for someone that really isn't that good and is untried at this level.
I actually couldn't think of a name I'd want to chase for that money. Wickham appealed to me but that's about it.
Yeah Pearson has done that a lot in the past which is why I'm surprised. I don't know how much you know of our squad but keep an eye out for Knockaert and Mahrez in the upcoming season. Both signed for very little from small French sides and both have been great for us. Knocky in particular is one of my favourites. Is genuinely in love with the club hahaIt's the same with West Ham going for Enner Valencia for £12m after a decent World Cup.
Surely scouring around the Erevidise or Ligue 1's lower placed sides would be a better option. Someone like Aboubakar would cost about the same you'd think
If our squad is horrible what does that make yours then? Ours was better than yours with Suarez, without him i guess your going to get relegated?
On the defence firstly. De Gea will probably continue to improve and should make it harder to concede against us. Regardless, Jones should get better, and I highly doubt Van Gaal and his staff will not try to bring in a talented centre back. As for the Shaw comment, quite baffling. PFA Team of the Year at 19 year's of age. We don't need him to be world class yet anyway. Did you pay close attention to Evra's form over the past three seasons? Quite horrible to say the least. You want some analysis?
Well let's have a look at the Manchester United team for next year.
De Gea
Rafael Jones Smalling Shaw
Carrick Herrera
Young Rooney Mata
RVP
The defence is extremely suspect. Rafael is capable of playing very well but he was terrible last season, and we're yet to see him perform without SAF's guidance and system. Jones and Smalling are okay, but that's the worst CB pairing of all the teams challenging for the top four. So you'll definitely need to buy another CB to strengthen that area, and you only have Evans in reserve after those two. Luke Shaw might be a world beater one day, but he's far from that stage right now and if he has Herrera and Mata in front of him, your left side is going to be abused by opposing teams all day. It's actually not feasible to play Shaw and Mata on the same side of a team.
Carrick has been very good for a long time now, but he wasn't able to do anything last year. While much of that can be blamed on the system played by Moyes, it's hardly a stretch to think that Carrick is heading into decline, and isn't the player he used to be. So now next to an ageing Carrick, you have a completely untried and untested Herrera. While it's all and well good to sign a player like him, but he's going to be expected to carry the centre of midfield from day one, and who knows how he adapts to English football. It could work, it might not. If it doesn't work early or one injury hits you're back to Fellaini and Cleverly.
Young is absolutely terrible. So are all your other options to replace him other than a 19 year old Januzaj. Rooney has to play in the middle, and the shunts Mata out onto a wing, which means that his effect is automatically curtailed. When he inevitably cuts inside (because he's a central playmaker) that leaves your left side completely exposed because you can bet Shaw is bombing down the flank. Now while Mata can still operate from the left and has proven to be effective from there in the past, that only happens if he's allowed to dominate the ball. When you have Rooney in the no. 10 position, he lacks tactical discipline (his managers have said this in the past) and so he will often get in the way of Mata. Doesn't bode well for your attacking fluidity. If Rooney stops trying to monopolise the ball, and concentrate on making runs into the box, and supporting RVP then you will have a potent attack, but whether Rooney has the tactical discipline is a big query. Not to mention that when you won the title RVP had a career year, he's now 30+ and coming off a lacklustre season and terrible World Cup.
So tell me, why is it fait accompli that Manchester United will be back challenging next year? Because David Moyes is gone? I hope that internally Manchester United blame Moyes for all of their problems, because then they won't be going be very far next year.
Ours won the title two seasons ago. It hasn't declined that much.LOOL!!!!!!!!
I remember Knockaert missing the penalty in the play-off semi. Glad that didn't destroy the kid. How's the Kiwi Chris Wood tracking? Will he see PL game time next season?Yeah Pearson has done that a lot in the past which is why I'm surprised. I don't know how much you know of our squad but keep an eye out for Knockaert and Mahrez in the upcoming season. Both signed for very little from small French sides and both have been great for us.
