North are in a similar position to what we were 2002-04 I think. Good enough to make the finals, sporadic periods of really good form but perhaps not strong enough to win a final on the road. They'll have more than a few players in their first final I think?

We should win, but they did push us twice this year so they won't be easybeats. Need to get the jump on them early, get the crowd involved (bootown).

I did. Not the best game to watch but the free drinks made it easier. Ended up being a box full of eagles fans so there was good company and banter to be had. Collingwood v Essendon wasn't terrible either, but the banter was more unintelligible grunts and spitting.

Good point. It will be the Gaff wing soon enough! I think we're at the opposite pocket of the ground to our usual seats, but a few tiers down where everything becomes disappointingly 2D.
