JUST A QUESTION , LAST YEAR WE WERE OFFERED 2 1ST ROUND PICKS FOR PICK 3 -WE KNOCKED IT BACK.

THE QUESTION IS WITH SO MANY TRADE RUMOURS IF WE WERE FACED WITH THIS TRADE WOULD/SHOULD WE GO FOR IT.

The gap between 9 and 6 is not massive at all. Tambling for pick 11 is unheard of and McGaune for 13 WOW

Would jump all over this deal...cannot believe people are bagging it.

We would get Atley/Lynch at 9 Polec/Smith at 11 and Lycett/Watson/Caddy/Harper at 13....why are people complaing ridding ourselves of Tambling McGuane and downgrading pick 6 when we get that in return???

1st of all sorry for the caps guys, posted it on a laptop that had a jammed key !

now lets talk about bouncing backs comments about posting some sense !!

what part of the trade didnt make sense to you ?
do you rate mcguane & dont believe we should trade him ?
do you rate tambling & dont believe we should trade bling either
or is a drop from 6-9 way too great for you to live with ?

reasoning behind the trade is as follows !!

there are rumours around that suns are/were looking at mcguane & maybe even tambling if this is the case the only picks they have that are tradeable are 5,7,9,11,13,15

why would the suns be intrested you say ??
well pics 1,2,3 are bennell,swallow & day it appears BUT suns also want gorringe,heppell,gaff,darling & possibly polec & smith !

this would guarantee them 6 out of 7 of the best picks to add to the 12 they already have from last year but the important bit is they would get gaff,heppell & gorringe as they are the 3 they are reportedly after !

whats in it for us 2 extra 1st round draft picks

I think the deal is good in some senses. I can see the rationale.

However , I think there are some sutle differences of quality amongst the players.

I think maybe due to the extra scrutinty some are sorting out the sheep from the goats relatively speaking so even though generally they as a group are relatively close, long term there are differences.

In this regard I think we may be getting to smart for our own boots if we pursue this type of deal, with respect to the other clubs, they are getting less foolish in their selections.

That doesn't mean we can't pick up other high, top 15 picks, in other ways

personall i think there are 5 standouts in the draft this year
swallow,bennell.day taken then gorringe & heppell from reports then the next 10 are all pretty even.
lynch,smith,polec,atley,darling,gaff,atley,watson, etc etc

my point is if the suns want pick 6 and mcguane lets tempt them to taking tambling as well , there is more of a chance of picking up a gun or 2 with 3 picks in the top 15 than with 1 pick ?

I think you are underrating at least two of your next 10.

Just going by some commentary I have seen I think I am not alone in my opinion particularly when it comes to trade day when push comes to shove. This is a relative thing in terms of player assessment
