ALL SEE IN HERE IS THE VICS COMPLAINING. I say we start a super league with only wce, freo adelaide, bris, and port no sydney because they still see themselves as south melb. So the vics can have their precious VFL back. TAKE-IT for ****s sake. But I tell you what you will come running back with you tails between you legs pretty quickly. Wanting our money that the interstate clubs provide in memberships sellout games merchandise and coming to spend money in melb each year. What I find interesting is the fact that many West Coast supporters and supporters of other teams that finished in the top 4 last season, seem to think that their dominance will continue forever and ever, Manchester United/Chelsea style.
Even when we can see the lowly positions both 2004 Grand Finalists, Brisbane and Port, finished in 2006. Also worth considering is the cyclical and even nature of the competition over the last 10 years (just because it's generally a cyclical comp. doesn't guarentee a premiership..just ask Adelaide and St.Kilda, great sides...no flags recently).

It'll be interesting to see how these cocky supporters cope in 2-3 years when Sydney, WCE's, Adelaide and Fremantle occupy 50% of the teams in the bottom 8, and teams that are young, small and inexperienced now are dominating. Anyone who thinks this won't happen is a fool.

I have no problems with interstate clubs, just the no souled scum that is Adelaide and West Coast Football Clubs.

Port Adelaide - Have a successful and proud past. They might not be the Magpies in the AFL, but their history and pride is all apparent to all footy followers.

Fremantle - Are the pride of that great city. Although have not won a premiership, they strive for one to make Freo proud.

Brisbane - Have the Fitzroy Lions blood in the veins. Enough said.

Sydney - They have the old Blood spirit.

But the franchises, just like in America, are disposable and relocatable. They have no pride in the city that they are in, and have no soul.

Claremont and Norwood should be in the AFL in their position.

Times have changed Buddy Boy. There's a new world order. Evidence is 7 of the last 10 Premierships have been won by non Victorian teams. 9 if you count the Kangaroos as the Gold Coast.

Think about this carefully. The combined footy states p/capital city population of your super league is 2.5M. Melbourne is 3.6M.

Combined state population is 3.5M. Victoria's is 5M.

You can add Queensland, but as you stated, Sydney is not invited, so in terms of viewer interest, our league's numbers beats yours hands down. This equates to TV rights and all sorts of other revenues.

So businessman, how do you anticipate that you'll be able to pay your players better than we could pay ours. Is it because you have the word 'Super' in your name? Do the sums pal!
