S*** luck, who you bringing in this week?
Priddis and someone

Would have been Tom McDonald if he went 90+ today, but that's not going to happen (he's on 22 half way through the 2nd)

After having a good look at jeremy howe to replace Houli because I needed a value pick I opted for Tom McDonald instead. Howe tons up again and McDonald looks like scrapping out a 50-60. This week was a disaster, my other trade was Joey, now expecting him to break a leg or some shit.

Have been trying to bring in Docherty for the last few weeks. Situation presents this week. Listened to the podcast from the Jock crowd and got convinced that Gibson was the better pick, that doc couldnt keep up the scoring and at 40k less Gibson was better value.

Long term should be ok but it happens with every trade!

Danger C.

For ****'s sake, whenever I use a VC on a Friday night, it ends in pain. I don't think it's ever paid off. I'm not a superstitious person but it's testing me.

Also not getting Dusty when he bottomed out. Got in Dollhouse two weeks ago and Montagna this week. Dusty would've been a better choice than both based on value and overall score.

There's your problem right there. Think for yourself and back ya gut.

You, you shouldn't back your gut.

No Friday night VC. Give yourself a competitive advantage over everyone by going a early saturday VC then a C later if required.

Yeah, but on paper Hanners into Danger seemed like such a safe choice. With what honestly hasn't been too bad a round for me I'm still going to plummet down the rankings due to being 90 points behind every campaigner with Goldy or Shaw as captain.

I didn't have Goldy or Shaw as C. Took Pendles 140 as VC.
Have Goldy and Shaw on field obviously so not too much damage done.

I also have Jelwood, Danger, Sam Mitchell and Hanners but still no VC. Why VC Hanners on a friday night if you can VC someone like Danger, Pendles with Goldy, NicNat against Trengrove, Shaw etc as back up.

Once that VC flops you're under pressure to get the C right so you jump at the most obvious and earliest C option and it often never works out. Everyone does it. I've done it this year once.

I've had 1 Friday night VC work out so far out of 9 rounds. Not great odds.

Because I figured his scoring had been strong enough. Obviously the wrong call. Think I'm done with Friday VCs.

this should be in bold as part of the first post of every SC thread.

its so much better to make your own mistakes than someone elses

Starting with these 3 very expensive "premos" basically ruined my season...

Fyfe ($670k) out for the season
Wingard ($528k) averaging 75
Stef ($597k) averaging 85

$1,800,000 for nothing

I also started with Rocky, Barlow and BCrouch. I've since traded them all out

I got JJ in, only to trade him out 2 weeks later

Also started with Laird, whose been warming my bench for the last 3 weeks

Rookie wise, I started with Milera, Gresham and Menadue; all were expensive and all have done jack shit

Then there's Ablett and Birchall, who I'm not fussed about, but I expected much, much better
