Safeway or as they are more commonly known - Woolworths!

My judgement is slightly biased though seeing that I work for Woolworths in one of their State Offices.

I used to work for Franklins as well and they are probably best forgotten now. When it comes to Supermarket they are a poor excuse.

btw, i shop at coles...although they have crappy customer service most of the time

Yes, many years ago I wrote such a piece.

The theory still applies though, although there are a few stunners that work at Coles in Footscray.

Preferred supermarket : Safeway Highpoint. It's as if the whole store is a meat rack. :D

Oh - they're called Verity or Purity or Rolf Voes or something like that down there aren't they ?

anyway - best supermarkets in Australia by miles.

They stock Farmers Union Iced Coffee !!

Woolworths = Safeway
 
haha... checkout chicks.. hehe..

do they have ALDI in melb? (the giant discount euro chain).. never been to on of those yet..

how about those NQR chains... 'not quite right' ?
 
Hmm...I'm a sad individuall.....but that's another story :D

I'll break this down into my experience of local stores only.

Woolworths:

Worked...................=..2.5 yrs Part-Time
Female Staff............=..About 20
Babes......................=..4
Dates......................=..3
Dates with Babes...=..1

Coles:

Worked..................=..2 yrs Full-Time
Female Staff...........=..About 60 or so
Babes....................=..11
Dates.....................=..6
Dates with Babes..=..4 (Good success rate...67%!)

IGA:

Worked.................=..12 months Full-Time
Female Staff.........=..18
Babes...................=..7 (out of 18 staff!!! good selection policy obviously ;)
Dates....................=..4
Dates with Babes.=..4 (I became a little more selective around this time).

I would have to say overall, that IGA would be my favourite, but Coles runs a VERY close second.

Woolworths gets hurt by the fact that:

a) I was only there from 14-17
b) I was too busy trying to impress the boss(es)
c) I had a gf for most of it...and
d) A lot of the girls had this strangest idea that I was gay! (Still haven't worked it out, but perhaps because I was (still am! ;), a caring, considerate guy, who was prepared to sit and talk at lunch breaks (as against go outside and smoke, or make-out as is the trend these days...sometimes simultaneously).
