Hi,
this is a shout out to those supporters who have gone above & beyond the call of duty for the team.

I'd like to nominate my son who took to using my wife's hairdryer to dry my recently washed purple boxer shorts which I wear on game days.
I washed on Saturday morning & they were still damp when game day approached.
I told him not to bother, but he took it upon himself to do his bit for the team.
Last time I didn't wear them was for the St Kilda debacle.

We also work really hard on the mocha? mokker? mozz? during each game by building up the merits of opponents who have set shots at goal. Things like, "He is the best kick in the league. It's a goal already, write it in. Auskickers couldn't miss from there" etc.
& of course the anti-mocha for our players. "I just hope he makes the distance. I'm happy if he gets a point"
In our minds it seems to work quite often.

I also never bet on Freo.
(Last weekend I went to the WB vs GWS game and put $10 on the draw.
I was 30 seconds away from a nice windfall :()

I'd like to hear of other superstitions.

At the Port game an old woman sat a few seats off to the side of me. She had a voodoo doll and a pin. Every time a Port player was lining up to kick she would be stabbing the doll in the legs over and over. She did this for the entire match!

There was a South African lady who sat near me from time to time who would make SSSSST noises and point her fingers at opposition players when they were taking shots for goals - claiming it was witchcraft. Haven't seen her for a while. I hope the government hasn't rounded her up

Long time stalker but posting now because this is the exact same thing I did at the exact same time! Didn't wear my purple undies and we lost badly, now I only ever wear them on game day!

Always and I mean Always wear my black Dockers polo shirt when I watch the game whether live or on TV.

Last year I wore my white away anchor jumper for the GF.

Surprisingly good car polish cloth.

If I was watching at home I would only have a drink of the good stuff after we scored a goal. Mr Drum in 2001 cured me. There seemed little point in depriving myself of booze when we kept going down.

I was at the casino last night - lost all my $$$ on numbers 29 and 7. A Sydney Swans supporter was also betting on 29 and 26..26 came up and he won $6000! I'm usually lucky at the casino..this time I hope he used up all of his luck and I have retained mine for something better :)
