Just Wow. Now with the umpires buying in and commending them just goes to show how wrong this competition is.

They are supposed to be ****ing impartial. Maybe look that word up Margaret.
“I’ve always found that if a Hawthorn player queries a decision on the field, they ask in a respectful way. They are one of the leading clubs in that regard.”

So when Heeney is choke tackled but has a free paid against him for HTB that gives GWS an easy shot on goal, do they expect him to just follow the Hawthorn politeness thing?

"Sorry old chap but you seem to have given the free to the wrong crowd. Look at my jumper"

"Oh dear, I don't know what I was thinking. I'll reverse the free kick immediately and I'll add in another 50m for good measure"

"That's the spirit. You're a good chum. How's that young lad of yours getting on with the bullies at school? Still being called SOS*?"

"Oh damn. I missed an easy goal. If only I could take that kick again"

"Go on then"

"Really? Oh you are such a pal"

Pies got the same mark for losing!! Feck the VFL mindset that keeps our national game firmly in Melbourne
Listened to the AFL Daily podcast this morning with Nathan Schmook and Michael Whiting. They're not the most charismatic duo on AFL media, but they spoke very insightfully about Port, Freo and the Suns and barely mentioned the Melbourne clubs. Was quite refreshing.

I found this article quite interesting about what Cox has tweaked, in particular about how we defend.

Nice to have you around Grim , one of the best.
If everyone else could see what Brissy were doing , why couldn't Horse and staff see it and it was obvious being there

True Bloods Champion
One of the great unsung Bloods heroes - nice to see him "sung".

True Bloods Champion
should have been a premiership player

Cute little article

Only one problem: Chad talks about going out to dinner in Perth.

You can’t go out to dinner in Perth. All the restaurants close at 5. Chad knows this.

Someone will put it up mate , but he's not as gloomy as some of us , depending on the next 4 weeks

Main take-aways for me:

* Our depth is really being exposed & having blokes like Hamling and Francis step up a level into unfamiliar roles is always going to bring about inconsistency (he wasn't knocking those blokes, just saying you can't expect consistent performance at AFL level from them in the roles they've been put into - hence others need to lift).

* Intensity is a non-negotiable and our leaders need to take a stand internally.

* The next 3 weeks will be telling.

Nothing earth shattering, but he says it in a well considered, thoughtful manner.
