The reason we didn't get Dunkley under father/son is because Roos was brutal to some blokes he played with. He made the hard calls that rubbed a few up the wrong way. Dunkley one of them.

Was watching one of the Fox shows, I think On the Coach or maybe First Crack.
They showed what the Swans are doing wrong from the centre bounce and stappages.
When we get the ball it is a hack kick more often than not. The more successful sides are handballing until they get the ability to kick to advantage. They showed plenty of evidence. It was damning.

Is this our problem with clearances?

Yes, the hack kicks aren't good. Handballing isn't our strength & maybe they're under instructions to get the ball quickly into our fwd line hence the kicks. Although I'd like to see them handball more often to improve that weakness of ours. Was it all our mids or particular ones?

Pretty sure Rusty is referring to the graphs that were posted a page back?

No its a meme, Bice has been okay but Heeney should be leading by a mile.

Why? Our B&F has always been about outperforming expectations. Heeney hasn't done that.

I just don't think it's taking the piss as much as the original poster seemed to think. Bice is in our top handful of performers.

Against Port Rozee was running up from HB and giving them an extra on the outside. We tried that last year with Roberts but more defensively. Some bring their wingers in to make the extra. We've tried that too but our most successful was running Chad past Heeney narrow and out the front for a deep entry. Once Grundy fell off the rails that became a non-starter.
We really need a specialist midfield coach to give us better options both in attack and defence. I honestly believe it's tactics more than cattle.
