I recognise this is totally ridiculous, but there really does seem to be a correlation between McInerney's form and his mullet. Mullet = gun, no mullet = dud. Forget a sports psychologist, we need a sports hair stylist.
I told you!! I was concerned last week when I turned the game on in the last quarter and saw that the mullet was gone. It's definitely a thing.

Looks like McCartin is looking comfy in the Forward line...

Weird timeline.

Need Snell and Edwards to come on quick

Honestly I've been a supporter of McDonald in defence for a while. I reckon we could see him return as a key defender full time and honestly I think it's a good idea. Even if it's not permanent, it can be a really valuable learning experience for a key forward, and he showed pretty good signs in his games down back last year.

Had uncertainty leading into tonight with Wicks in defence but looked good. Zippy and used it well. Think he'll get a gig next week. TMac presented really well, keen to see how he fares against the Hawks.

Jordon was great tonight, just such a pure footballer. Makes good decisions, liked him on the ball.

Bice and Hanily better as the game wore on, Kirk tackled well too.

The push & shove.
Not this lot.
Maybe Mcinerney but you can't say that about Rowbottom. I'd never seen Kirk before...I'm impressed. He's alwayys thereabouts and his tacking is impressive. He's tough ...I see early Rowbottom in him. Hanily and Kirk land their tackles and Hanily is classy and involved...has a mature body

The squad cohesion was there to see tonight, clearly great vibes in the team. thought our hands in close were really slick particularly in the first half.

Nothing from Campbell tonight
Bullshit. Did a lot. You just didn't notice. Forwards are not always going to be stars. Amartey wasn't tonight because they had three players on him after half time. What's more, we went Reserves after half time. It took a while for the cohesion to happen. It wasn't until the last that our players got their shit together

Gus:

  • most tackles
  • most clearances
  • 3rd most disposals

He wasn’t spectacular, but held his own against Rowell and Anderson.

Was it enough? Not sure.

For mine, Jordon was clearly BoG.
If he can clean up his possession a little more (although he did have a lot of the tough ball) then he will be very good. He doesn't need to have 30 touches a week but 20-25 and 6 tackles a game and he will be a valuable cog this year
