Might this year's game at ANZ Stadium break our unbeaten trot in recent years vs Sydney? They are looking pretty good, alot of difference to the game style of the past few years when we have been dominant.

I think we'd still go in with a lot of confidence. Melbourne beat the Lions, let's not forget. What's more, that game they just won was at the SCG, I think we actually play ANZ Stadium better than the "home" team in that game.

Which is appropriate given we play "home" games against the Bulldogs at Etihad.

The comp is much more even this year. Any team can beat any other team on their day, so I don't think you can really pencil any round in for a win. But I think we've got the better team and play well when we travel so we should win, hoodoo or no hoodoo.

I still hold no fear whatsoever of Sydney.

So what, they have a better version of Barry Hall (Bradshaw), Presti will eat him for dinner.:thumbsu:

Brisbane were terrible in the first half tonight too, were 7 goals down at one stage, yet go within 8 points in the 3rd quarter.

Plus we get Sydney at the Olpymic ground, where their record is no where near as good as the SCG.

We will also have Brad Dick back by then, sorry just had to mention him.:D

people over react so soon hey, were you the same guy on the melbourne bandwagon spruking about finals for them.

Round 6 is nothing, didnt we have a season where we were 5-0 and finished with like one more win for the season.

Year 2000.

Anyway, I think Sydney's good start has been unexpected. A win against them isn't going to be a cakewalk like usual, but we should still go into the game with confidence.

Because saying that we might not have the wood over the Swans this year is overreacting... They have a vastly different game plan and have been playing pretty well this year, why would you not think that this year's game might be a bit different? It's way too early to say who has the advantage, but its shaping up to be an interesting match considering our recent dominance.

Lot's of run and carry with Bradshaw a better version of Barry Hall.

Talls down back looked a little shaky, but Fevola was ineffectual getting 2 goals from kicks of the ground that should have been cleared by the Swans defenders.

They did miss Craig Bolton but in all, are playing a more expansive game.

Quite good to watch actually. Swans played all bar 2 mins with 21 men when Seaby went down with an ankle and they had 2 blokes knocked out and Hannebery dislocated his shoulder.

We'll need to be on our game to beat them. ANZ Stadium helps us more then them. They play so well at the SCG.

It's worth pointing out that Brisbane has long struggled against Sydney. I put it down to Brisbane's lack of quality small forwards to make Malceski, Kennelly, Mattner and Shaw accountable and limit their rebound. Collingwood has arguably the best contingent of small forwards in the league.

Bradshaw is Prestis bunny and also our new forward line with Dawes in will kill their deffence.

Gees we are looking a bit far ahead are we not. I am sure we have Cats ,Freo(away) and Bris (away) and a few others before Swans. Lets not get ahead of ourselves and enjoy the glorious victory of smashing the Filth!!

Richmond > Any other club....IMPOSSIBLE! :p

I agree with the OP. I see this as a danger game.

I rate Sydney a lot more now with their attack off the half back. They are right up there as far as run is concerned from their defence.

As mentioned though, we have gone up a gear too...
