Might be wise to stay out of the water.
Interestingly beaches are now being reopened for the Australia Day weekend!
The fact is we are swimming in the sharks home. It’s concerning though that there seems to be more bull sharks about and hungry for a decent feed.
What is driving the increase in shark numbers in Sydney & NSW waters?
Weather? Higher sea temperatures? Murky water being washed out of rivers etc due to rain?
Sharks preferred food being depleted in deeper water forcing them to feed closer to shore?
Less commercial fishing / Greater shark protections enabling more efficient breeding cycles and longer lives?
Larger population - more humans in the water for sharks to confuse with seals?
Other?
A combination of factors?

Harbour swimming warning as NSW beaches open after shark attacks
Heatwave conditions and Australia Day long weekend activities are expected to draw crowds back to the water after a dangerous 48 hours on the New South Wales coast.
