He has been linked with Trade talk on the NMFC board... what would he be worth next week... not trolling just curious.

Well he won't come cheap. We expect big things from the boy...But then again he's shown peanuts apart from a few occasions. If a trade was brought about, wouldn't mind seeing Moran come into the negotiations.

Possibly your first pick and/or established player. If the first pick is too much, then we won't settle for anything less than a second pick I wouldn't have thought

I wouldn't trade him personally. I think he's got a huge future if he can stay injury free.

On the NMFC board, what sort of trade proposals have you been coming up with in relation to Sylvia?

Sansbury and Brown should be up for trade... maybe Moran and Lower

Would be ok with Sylvia for Brown and 3rd rounder

I don't think so. I really don't rate Brown, and although we are struggling for talls, I wouldn't want him.
I'm not the best person to give you an objective opinion on this though, as Sylvia is one of my favourite players.

I know that Sylvia is somewhat unproven, but there's no way I take Brown and your 3rd for him. I can't say I really rate Brown, to be honest, and a 3rd rounder wouldn't be enough to compensate losing Col.

I understand... i hate to see favorite players get traded... just glad the Arch never did... i will leave the trade talk alone.

Sylvia is one of those players that just wouldn't get involved in a trade.

He's done little so opposition clubs wouldn't give much for him.

He has so much potential so Melbourne would ask a lot for him.

I'm happy with that because I'd have to see the back of him.

Mate, I have no problem with trade talk, in fact, I find the trade period one of the most interesting times of the year. Thinking up trade proposals is great fun.
So, feel free to go on with the trade talk, I was just giving you my feelings on this particular proposal ;)

People on here are right.............when u consider sylia was taken at number 3 in a draft much stronger than this one and the fact that he has never ever had a full pre-season at melbourne yet i just cant fathom any possible reason why we would trade him at this point in time............ but just to answer ur question it would need to be a very good player and a draft pick i would say. Maybe furrito, pratt or watt and ur second round pick, but like i said we wouldnt trade him yet until we can really see what he is capable of.

Let's face it. Col has had long enough to prove something and he hasn't. If it wasn't for the fact he was a top pick he'd be a certainty to go this off season. If any fair trades come up for him, i say we take it.

Has he ever had a full pre season?
Once he does we will see the best of him, and there is so much upside to the man.
Id say no trade for Col.

So you aren't going to give him a chance to really get his body right and see what he's capable of?
I just remember how he played v the Dogs and think he has so much talent, he's just waiting to explode. He's super competitive, goes in hard and can take a grab. His skills and stamina need work though. I think he's worth persisting with, and I don't think we'll have to wait long to see him playing well.

3rd overall 2003 draft, after investing and developing Col these years why on earth would we door him now ? Untouchable ..

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want anything to with his dudness.

In defense of Brad Miller, I do think he is unfairly and often vehemently criticised
I am not saying that I have not spent frustrating times watching him play over the years but he does at least try and I do think he has pride in our jumper.

Neale appeared to want Brad to play the tough guy role and then maligned him for his frequent tribunal visits. He constantly played him down back and up front like a yoyo in an attempt to patch obvious deficiences in our list. All this has done nothing for his confidence. To me he looks like a natural lead up forward who has never been rewarded with a more permanent opportunity up front to show his wares.

I would not be surprised to see him flourish under Dean Bailey and certainly hope he does. He deserves a chance to work under a new coach with different strategies and processes for addressing poor performance. Brad Miller is not the only player that requires immediate improvement.

Lets' be honest not every player in the last five years has shown the required grit, heart and passion for the red and the blue.
Let alone make simple disposal errors.

Well my opinion anyway :)

Rubbish. There is no way he'd even be in consideration for a delisting.

He hasn't shown any consistency yet, but he isn't a poor player. I think he has a lot of talent and some good physical attributes. Just needs some time.
