1. Tag Wirrpanda. We did it with Thornton last time. I suspect we'll need to do it again. Schammer, Duffield, Webster, Crowley are all options.

2. 7 backman, 4 forwards, rest in the midfield. Woosha's so dumb he'll man us up, therefore clogging his forward line and opening up ours. By clogging up the midfield we also quell their superiority through this area.

3. Shut down Braun, this guy is going under the radar so much its not funny. I rate him 2nd only to Judd in thier midfield. Maybe Peake to get the job???

......to be continued.

No1 should be No1 on CC's things-to-do list. I cant believe other Clubs didn't take note from that tactic with Scotty earlier this year. Shut him down and the midfield's supply dries up. Scotty did a great job to the point that 'panda tried to shake him by drifting into a forward pocket. Without Rodger out i'd put Schammer on him as full tag, tell Byron to harrass the F### out of him to see how much he takes before he breaks.

I don't like the idea of Schammer anywhere near the defensive lines....so Crowley for me can do the job, + he is far more intimidating.

Matt Carr goes to Judd
Josh Carr goes to Kerr at stoppages
McPharlin on Lynch
Parker on Sampi
Grover on Hansen
Dodd on Embley
Black on Fletcher

Start Farmer & Pavlich in the middle at 1st boune to confuse the hell out of their opponents...

Agree strongly on the first 2 points. The Hawks are the only other team that tagged Wirra and they almost beat us. You could have 10 backmen and Woosha would man them up, not as bad as it sounds, as it's just as hard for you guys to run it out of defence quickly which is how to exploit an open forwardline.

Point 3 I don't agree on. I love Braun, but he's not as important as Judd, Kerr, Embley or Cousins. Would try and cover those 4 and then worry about Braun.

How likely is Farmer to play btw, I think you guys really need him firing this week to get over the line.

youll play more than a 7 man defence because you flood...boooring!! lucky for us were a dickload better through the midfield than the saints and can move it quickly enough to exploit this. also, we play against open forward lines week in, week out, something were used to, and we have AAFB2006 razzle glass who cannot be beaten one on one. sandilands will get coxed.

Tag..wirra....how can youn tage a defender when the fwd is concentarting on getting the ball....if he's trying to tag wirra he's not trying to win the ball then....thats fine go for it it wont work

Woosha dumb...yeah so dumb we have 16 wins 4 losses

Agree but the real the killers in our team at the moment are Waters Selwood and Butler these guys are playing great footy

whoever wins the clearances at the stoppages (centre, boundary and feild) will win this game its that simple.....because both teams use the ball very well a clearance fwd of centre ends of being goals

Worked a treat in Rd 6. Did you watch the game? :)

We seem to defeat the eagles when our taggers are on top of their game.
Under no circumstance should we try and beat the eagles at their own game and let Kerr, Judd and Cousins all run free.
2/3 require a heavy tag.
It will come down to our backline, I am under no illusion about our midfield. While it has come in leaps and bounds we will more than likely loose the contest in the middle.
Our drive will come from the simple fact we have a far superior quality of players in our backline than the eagles have in their forward line.

The likes of Johnson, McPharlin, Grover and Parker must continue to supply drive.

Take note, Woosha will try and expose our lack of small defenders. Do not be surprised to see Wirrpunda start forward. Along with Armstrong and Sampi they are trying to create a mismatch in speed.

Especially if Hayden doesn't come up. Duffield must play if Hayden doesn't.

Parker, Black and Hayden would be my first three choices to play on the aforementioned. I'd put Parker on Sampi, Black on Armstrong and Hayden on Wirrpunda.

Exploit their arrogance is our best chance. I just flicked over to their forum to see if anyone gave us a chance. And read how brilliant they are, how only complacency lost them last years finals, how we are nothing.

We know we are playing well but we don't (or supporters I know don't) think we are god's gift and have a devine right to everything on a plate. Hopefully that arrogance will permutate onto the field as well.

I would put Pav on the ball for first 5 minutes. If nothing else it gets him into the game early.

I can assure you that the players/coaching staff aren't at all arrogant about playing you guys, so banking on our players being arrogant is not the best approach. This game isn't all that important for us, despite the huge media hype. We have our top 2 spot and that's all we are after, like last year our last couple of H&A games aren't too important, so Woosha will be preparing for the finals and may hold his cards close to his chest. Although our players will no doubt be keen to get one over on the Dockers (U guys have beaten us 3 times in a row haven't u).

I expect the result could go either way and be a similar game to thw H&A game earlier in the year. Pavlich and Farmer are the two danger guys for us IMO.

Woosha rarely plays a small forwardline. Unless we feel Wirra doesn't have a matchup down back, he will play down there.

I'm not saying he'll isolate these three in the goal square. Just saying it'll be one method he'll try and exploit our defence.

Who will Wirra matchup on in our forwardline?

You are right it is more some of the WC supporters than the playing group. Still we can hope. I like Pavlich in centre to get him into the pace of the game early. For the sake of a good game as well would like to see the umps just let it go for the first 15 minutes. It will be red hot. And if there ends up being a final between the two teams, with two sets of roughly even numbers of supporters, what an atmosphere ..

Not sure who Wirra will take tbh. It's usually who we consider to be the least dangerous small forward for u guys. Who else plays as a small forward for u guys besides Farmer, with Medhurst being out?

please not webster....id put crowley up forward and tell him to tag wirra.

Wirra will be tagged mark my words. Look for Webster to get the job :thumbsu:

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest and if I was an opposition coach that would be my second priority after stopping Judd.
