Hmmm I dunno how I feel about this. I like Tadhg and he was always a great clubman, but his body was shot when he left, and although Roosy is saying he's all good now, I just don't know if his body will stand up to yet another 2 whole years of footy.

Bolton cleans up Fev and gathers the pill, handpasses to Shaw, he runs and bounces twenty times then handpasses to Mattner on our defensive 50, who takes a few loping strides before chipping over to Tadgh-Taghd-Ti-Ty, who runs and weaves elegantly down the wing (getting a great shepherd from the Mummy, who knocks Judd back into 2003), then a spearing pass is delivered into the breadbasket of one Daniel Bradshaw, who goes back and slots it.

Why is the off season so long?

And exactly how do Fev and Judd end up in the same passage of play with 1 in Brissie and 1 in Melbourne??

Oh, and Juddy went alright back in 2003.

Told you it's going to be a long off season:eek: It's my imagination, they can play for whoever they want...:p

p.s. Didn't you hear? Juddy has asked to be put into the draft so he, Fev and Twigs can be together again.

It sounds as though Roos is prepared to try him in a different position than his customary half back role. This might mean a less taxing effect on his body.

these days there are no positions that are less taxing than others, its either his fit and ready to play at senior level, or its goodbye forever......

I know we'll be good, but able to take on Brisbane and Carlton at the same time?

he said on fox sports now he won that gaelic grand final in respect of his father that he will now return to AFL....expect to see him soon

Also Galic Football isnt as taxing as Aussie Rules either

I think now he has had this dreal realised of winning the championship he gets to decide where his heart and future now lies - and its in Sydney & in Oz

Sorry for butting in but I love watching him play - one of my fave non lions

Great news, just hope his body is up to it.

For mine, next to Goodes and C.Bolton, Tadgh was our most important player in 05/06. If he can get back to his best (and if Malceski can return to his pre-injury form) then we're going to take some stopping off half back.

I still think the best non-finals individual moment of 2005 was Kennelly's goal against the Lions in the late-season caning in Sydney, when he ran the ball from defence, linked up with players, kept running and half-volleyed a return pass from, I think, Jason Ball, did a 360 to beat a player and goaled on the run from just on 50m.

If it had been any Victorian team, it would STILL be replayed as some kind of Goal of the Century, it had everything, teamwork, individual courage and brilliance, and I still shake my head that it didn't receive an award, or even receive some recognition in those end-of-year packages they put together.

I'm going to have another look when I get home tonight; pretty sure there's a brief shot of a Brisbane player, Vossy I think, mouth open in awe.

And all I can do is quote That Guy: "Awesome ... awesome to the max."

sorry for the massive quote, but is there any chance theres a vid of it online anywhere? i was trying to look for it the other day, no luck!

he did what he wanted to do and win an all-ireland with kerry. the only real option was to go back to sydney where he will be earning good money. he would be crazy not to go back in fairness. looking forward to seeing him back next season. possible match up with st.kilda's tommy walsh his kerry team-mate. now that would be worth watching.

I have the highlights 05 season package which rd rougly? I'll have a look

Round 20 i think it was. Definitely last 3 rounds against Brizzy at Homebush.

Good to see we have a futurama fan in Mr PB.

About 30 seconds in. I swear there was a much better version of it on youtube, but I can't find it anymore. I think Old Man Voss had his mouth open trying to catch his breath after chasing Tadhg.

There's a few other great Tadhg goals on youtube, one he kicked very early on also against Brissie, and one against Collingwood in 2003. The sad thing was teams were so good at dragging him back to the goalsquare that he kicked none in his last year, and only 1 each in the previous 2. Hopefully that will change when he lines up at full forward in Round 1 :)

Compilation by SouthSwans, a couple of very good Tadhg goals but not the one with the spin around Voss. I'm determined to find it!
