How many talls and who will we play next year. It is pretty much a guarantee that warnock and kreuzer will get a game but who would you play out of cloke or hampson.

Would be disappointed if Cloke was left out, has earned a round 1 call up and think he can be a real positive for Carlton in 09

Wow. The results have shocked me.

1. Warnock, Kreuzer, and Hampson are all still VERY raw. Cloke HAS to play to take most of the bash and crash from the ruck contests. We don't want any of our promising young ruckmen to have their body worked over so early in their careers

2. Hampson hasn't done enough with his chances at AFL level to warrant a starting position IMHO. Although he is full of potential, I just don't think he is AFL ready and hasn't developed as quickly as we would like

3. People want to play 4 ruckman?! With a forwardline of Fev, Fisher, and 2 of the ruckman?! (assuming 2 ruckmen in the forwardline, 1 as main ruckman, and 1 on the bench). That is a freaking huge lineup. Teams with pace would murder us. As soon as the ball hit the ground it would bounce back out of our forwardline in an instant

I voted for Cloke, Kreuzer, Warnock. Cloke takes the crash and bash early on, then rotating in the forwardline with Kreuzer. 1 main ruckman, 1 playing as a forward, 1 on the bench, all rotating throughout the game. I also doubt if Kreuzer will be able to play 22 games next year. I still think we shouldn't rush him, Warnock and Hampson

Whoops voted for the wrong one.
I meant to vote for Warnock, Kreuzer, Cloke
I voted for Warnock, Kreuzer, Hammer.

We definitey need Cloke playing CHF and Kreuzer to rotate there and in the ruck and Warnock being no.1 Ruck.

That being said Hammo definitley will see games this year. Whether that be in replace of one of them or with all of them remains to be seen but he'll be there no doubt.

I think we'll probably go with 3 - Cloke, Kreuzer and Warnock.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if we try play 4 in the same side in the NAB Cup to see if it works.

Yeah, that would be the most likely case.

Would love to see Warnock, Hampson and Kreuzer all playing alongside one another at one stage though, even if it is just in the NAB cup.

I hate to go off topic guys but seeing as I'm a newbie I aint allowed to post a new thread!!! So apologies in advance:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Was just wondering if anyone had any of our wins on disc that they could copy for me? I'm willing to pay a reasonable cost for postage and disc used and more importantly your time and effort, if anyone could help me out it would be very much appreciated as all the torrents are dead and looks like it'll be weeks of download time just to see one game!! PM if at all possible :D

thanks again and sorry for going off topic

It would be crazy to play all 4 - 3 is pushing it as it is.

I'm all for trying it out in the NAB cup, why wouldn't you. Warnock, Kruezer & Hampson all need to be gaining ruck experience - How do they do that if all are playing in the same side, with Cloke taking some of the duties also.

Hampson would be best suited developing in the 2's, and getting as much experience as he can. No use having him sit on the bench for more than 50% game time every week.

EDIT: I am struggling to fit guys like Bannister, Browne, Russel, Hadley, ect. Armfield into the same side and I want them all in there. No chance for a 4th ruckman to take one of their spots instead.

I reckon all 4. Warnock & Hampson in the ruck.
Cloke & Kreuzer as permanant forwards.
Although Cloke may have to compete with Fisher for the tall forwards spot.

Cloke at CHF and Kreuzer at FP, both providing some 2nd ruck work to #1 ruck in Warnock.

Hampson will get a few games no doubt, but is obviously still developing.

People Cloke, Kreuzer and Fevola in our Forward line.
How slow will we be ?
How fast will the ball rebound out of our backline ?
How much run will opposition generate of Cloke, Fevola and Kreuzer ?
Playing all three in the Forward line is a recipe for disaster!!

I think that Hampson, Cloke, Kreuzer and Warnock are all good footballers, but for team balance we will be playing only 2 of them most of the time. We could play 3 on the odd occasion.

Warnock will be our first Ruckman, guaranteed. The games we lost we got smashed in the center and it was basically due to the fact that the other teams Ruckman took Cloke and Kreuzer to the cleaners.

Cloke is a gun but is too short, Kreuzer is still developing.

Warnock will make a contest and thus give our midfield an evan money chance to win the ball.

The thing that could save Cloke is if he could lose some of his bulk, get real fit/mobile and play a role for us similar too what Spalding did. If he can't his passport to the abyss will be stamped.

I sure hope we dont play all four. I think Hampson will be the unlucky one purely because Kreuzer and Cloke can both rotate throught the forward line. I cant see Hampson getting many games in 2009 unless someone gets injured.

Cloke's end to the season was fantastic. Look for massive improvement from him next year

Hampson is a hack
