It's great to get a glimpse at what he is going to turn out like in a few years :D

He is leading the team's tackle count for the year and for a skinny 20yo I think that's an amazing feat.

Naturally this should be a bit of an up and down year for him, but let's hope to see more good games like the one against Collingwood :thumbsu:

I work every day and not had a chance to see much footage of any game, is this a reflection on him being second to the ball or hard at it?

Hard at it :thumbsu:

Of his 19 possies, 15 were kicks, and 100% of his kicks were effective. ;)

Try and watch the first half of the game against the Pies if you want to see him taking some positive steps for us. As we know he needs to build fitness and consistency but he's clearly not the dud he has unfairly been critisised of.

He is only maligned because of Buddy, he's actually coming on faster than expected.

Well if that's the case it's good news to hear. I think Tambling like many talented footballers, who struggle a little earlier it can really only be a confidence thing.

So maybe a few good games and the ocassional blinder this year will see him turn into the player we all know he could be.

Far and away his best game for us and a real sign of why we drafted him. The best bit was that each time he got it he arched his back, ran 20m to get around a Pie - then kicked. If you kick after beating someone it has to create loose men eventually.

Fundamentally you need guys in your team who can beat a man. Whether that is pace (Tambling), stamina (Rob Harvey), marking, skill, superior reading of the game. A recruit has to have some qualities that mark him out as a guy who can beat a player. Tambling finally showed that.

Down side was that he really only could manage it for a half. And that is our problem. Between the half-fit guys like Schulz and Simmonds. The never fit guys like Krakouer, and the kids like McGuane, Tambling and Deledio we simply run out of petrol after half time.

.

hadnt seen him do that since his first hitout v the pies in a pre season cup game when he turned on the turboblasters to get past burns that night, keep it up young fella:thumbsu:

I wonder if he will wear out towards the end of the year?

Would young players who tackle like he is have trouble maintaining that kind of pressure?
